So many guys will be available for cheap with no money available for most teams. Good bargains for teams getting vets just looking for a job.

But I can’t see us cutting Robinson. He’s really pretty cheap cap wise. IMO he’s a better value keeping him. Unless the team has concerns he can get back up to 60-80% snaps per game. If so, then maybe a cut potentially makes sense. Otherwise seems like a bargain for guy in prime.

Brockers is a different story. There’s some meat on that cap savings. I want him to stay a Ram for sentimental reasons. But I can see the value in a cut. He’s worth the cap hit to stay though. Not an easy decision either way on him.

This is exactly my thoughts. I should stop now and save the keystrokes. :fistbump:

Wow. Didn’t see that coming.

What the above means to me is the 9ers will soak up @ least 2 of the current UFA centers. The 9ers have 1 OC on the roster Jake Brendel who has never played for the 9ers.

9ers have three centers who are UFA's Tony Bergstrom, Ben Garland & Hroniss Grasu.

They still have Brunskill. He's a good center. He's been their starter all year. He was signed from Atlanta's practice squad.

6.2 could be a bargain

Any teams "potential cuts" catch your eye and what do you think about their reasoning for Brockers for us? Also before anybody says it Robinson doesn't save us money being cut and it might not even if we trade him I'd have to look at that again.

Yeah, there isn't any point in dumping Robinson now. Cutting him would actually eat cap space and trading him I think would be almost a net gain zero but I could be wrong on that. As a strictly cap related move it makes sense to cut Brockers and replace him with Robinson next year. But obviously Brockers brings more than just his play being a team captain and locker room presence.

I guess post 6/1 wouldn't be bad but we have to find someone who wants to do a trade. With this years salary cap sucking I'm not sure anyone would want to trade for him. Still probably worth more to us on the roster than the cap savings.

Wow not much savings there. I can see them approaching Brockers for a pay cut restructure, trying to trade him, or an outright release. Only thing that may save him is if the Rams trade/release others first or restructure everyone they can possibly restructure from what it sounds like.
