Somehow the offense was fine in the 1st half. 3 drives, 7 1st downs and 14 points. Compared to the 2nd, 5 drives, 5 1st downs, 0 points.

Seems like PHI made the right adjustments and our team didn't.
Felt like they kept getting to midfield and stalling out there. Philly got more and more to Stafford as the game went on.

Oof I disagree so much about the defense. Our offense had the ball three times with a chance to take the lead. This team was built for the offense to be great and the defense to be average at best. Yet the offense had the ball three times in the second half down by one possession and did nothing. That is the reason we lost here.

All things are not equal here. The guys that are paid are almost all on offense. They couldn't drive for a FG in the second half against a team that Sam Howell torched a week ago.

That is why we lost. Given the context, our defense played a hell of a game.
I really can't agree that our defense played a "hell of a game" They gave up 13 out 18 on third downs and like 7 for 9 in the first half.

Time and time again they whiffed on tackles on 3rd down and let the Eagles extend the drives. Ya the offense didn't help by doing anything in the 2nd half.. but the defense also was not getting the Eagles off the field on 3rd down.

The offense and the defense were pretty lousy in the end....

The defense gave up 454 yards and 28 first downs. They were not good.

I'd say both sides were pretty equally to blame.

Hurts is slippery and tough to bring down once he is on the move. He makes teams look bad that has to be taken into account. He took a hit from Young and Young hit the ground while Hurts scrambled for a first.
Lets hope that the youth continues to improve and we win some of these easier games. We have faced some tough O & D lines we could use a breather.

They didn't need to make adjustments - they were moving the ball the same way the entire game.

One thing I will say…McVay is gonna watch the film and be disappointed in Kyren Williams and Ronnie Rivers. We had at least 3 running plays that were schemed and blocked beautifully that we only got 6-7 yards from. Both of them left a lot of meat on the bone.

Not his fault but Putting Hoecht on the Edge is a miserable failure. Seems like motion was more limited this week on offense and I don’t recall a single sweep or misdirection. Durant cannot tackle so something needs to change there.

There is enough tape on Hoecht, Durant and Kendrick to know they can't play at this level.

Having Hoecht cover anyone, let alone down the field, multiple games and getting burned is just idiotic. Shame on you Raheem. That is bush league shit.

Where are the Journalists that need to ask the hard questions? Anyone? Anyone?

Even the announcers point it out.

The critical penalties against Kendrick has directly cost us two games now.

There are the Personell evaluations that need to be made if you expect to get better.

Durant and Kendrick are young so that will always be the excuse to keep playing them.

Stop being stubborn and give Shelly and Tomlinson a chance.

How worse can it get then giving up a TD in 32 seconds by committing two personal fouls and not being able to cover a WR, after doing the same thing a few weeks earlier.

I don't see any adjustments Philly made. We just missed open WR's on critical 3rd downs. Got too cute running deeper patterns then taking the underneath stuff.

Rams are paying Stafford way too much to play like he has in the second half of games.

Sadly, I think letting Philly take the lead going into half-time really changed the momentum of this game.

Despite that, the Rams still had a chance to take the lead in the 4th against a very good roster! The near miss to Tutu. The incomplete pass where Kupp turned the wrong way a few snaps later (that will get sorted out as he gets more reps).

At the end of the day, I think we just lost to a better team.

Kendrick needs to be replaced next year. I just don't see it with him. He was abused all drive before the half.

The tackling was very poor from the defence. Even before they were gassed. No excuse for that and it was a huge factor in the game.

We need a better RB. Williams is a good RB2. But need our RB1. Maybe then we'd stop throwing so much.

The lack of running game also makes it harder for the defence to get a breather when needed. Sometimes you have to just eat some clock.

If we want to air it out all day we need a better o-line. Our o-line has been pretty good this year! But we have poor depth, and even with everyone healthy, we don't have a single stud. Perhaps Avila at this rate will be. Havenstein is very good but not elite. If you want an injury prone, older QB with average mobility to be throwing all day, your o-line has to be among the better units in the NFL. The Rams are nowhere near that.

Evans sure can boot a punt.

It's not just this game. This is what I've been saying about why they needed to trade for Taylor. He would take that 6-7 yards and one of them could go to the house. The defense simply can't play pass first. NO TEAM RESPECTS THE RAM RBs. They don't have the speed to threaten anyone. This is why Cam was angry when the cut him and kept Williams. Williams was kept because supposedly he could block. Well we saw he fucking can't block and it got Stafford creamed.

Williams is a good #2 RB but he's not a true #1 RB. Where the hell is Evans and Freeman. Why are they playing Rivers? He's another small RB with no power, subpar speed and poor field vision. He didn't see the hole and slowed down and allowed himself to be tackled. WOW great RB you rolled out McVay.

Both Evans and Freeman are bigger and faster than both Williams and Rivers. Freeman has bounced around and played basically on a journeyman level. That said he's better than Ronnie Rivers.

Evans has the speed to make things happen if he breaks into the secondary. He's agile with good field vision and enough speed (4.45) where he can outrun most LBs. and DBs. At 5'11" and over 200lbs he's not a small guy. Why Rivers is in front of him on the depth chart is the question. Had Evans been carrying the ball on that play he would have seen the hole and it was well blocked so he has the speed to make good yardage. Even if Williams had played that down instead of Rivers, they both would have been easily caught because neither has breakaway speed.

This offense badly needs a running game. Williams is good but the Rams need better from their lead RB.

sadly the BS pass interference changed the game...

go rams

slo

That bs horse collar flag changed the game. They don't get that they don't get anywhere near the end zone. The dick was pulled forwards to the ground. How is that a penalty? It isn't. They picked up a flag last week for the Rams for that exact reason. How can one crew know the rules yet these bozos don't? We all know the answer don't we?

It's so hard to watch the nfl right now. The refs can't be this incompetent. They've been doing it their whole lives. They can't not know basic rules.

14. The "Brotherly Shove" is BS. Its not a football play, and should be banned. Its particularly frustrating when the forward progress is stopped, and the "shove" then gives the Eagles what amounts to a second chance. Not a fan of this gimmick.

What I hate about it is the oline goes for the legs of the dline. Every time. The players have no chance brace themselves and push back.

I can't believe they didn't ban this play in the offseason.

Hoecht is not suited for edge and Durant can't tackle. Those two seem to be part if the defense weakest links. Durant can be coaches. Hoecht is just being mis-cast
As I said in the Vent thread - take Durant out of the star position and move him to outside CB

The only good thing about the defense yesterday was keeping the Eagles out of the end zone when they got inside the red zone

Someone needs to send a Safety flying like a heat seeking missile into Hurts’ head on that rugby play
