I think the way this game played out may have been just what the doctor ordered for the Rams going into next week's game against you know who.
1) We got a lot of mistakes out of our way and still won.
2) Akers will be focusing on ball security all next week. Hopefully these fumbles are out of his system now.
3) After giving up such a big lead, and knowing we did the same against our hated rivals last time, maybe the coaches and players keep up the intensity all through the second half instead of letting up like they did last time.
4) After completely losing the momentum, Stafford and Kupp made two huge plays to set up Gay for the winning kick. That's the kind of stuff that makes people a team believe that they can turn it around even when things don't go their way.
5) In general, this team was tested hard today, mostly due to their own mistakes, but they showed resilience, mental toughness, and overcame them to win.
6) As one of the items in the OP stated, we won't be overconfident going into the game. But having survived this one, we will be confident.
Let's fucking go.
