Does anyone else feel like his age is showing up. Seems like they've been giving him a lot more help than in the previous two years with the guard sliding over or a back chipping his guy. He ended up on the ground on two plays that Goff was still able to get the ball off. Don't get me wrong, he's still a very serviceable LT but I'm not sure he's dominant anymore.

I saw Garett totally wreck the game last week. He didn’t wreck our game. He played OK, but no way did he wreck our game. I think everybody knows, and it showed last year, he has seen better days, but he is still an above average OLT.

Whitworth just played two weeks in a row the best pass rushing DE's in the entire league. He played his equal in size and strength in Garrett tonight with all his youth and at his peak yet is missing Technique which Big Whit could teach him. and beat another All Pro in Cam Jordan in a major war last week, It was Havenstein who had 2 holding calls last week. None on Whitworth, He is ageing so well I wish we knew we could have him back next season. You will miss the HELL out of Big Whit and ALL he brings to the RAMS when he decides to retire. Please name a more dominant pair of talented pass rushing threats in the league. I can name one player on the Bears and he won't get by Big Whit but he will threaten our interior line. Whit is Jackie Slater all over again and we are SO BLESSED HE IS IN HORNS. He has been playing on bad ankles if you look close at how they are taped last week and this. This thread should be a CELEBRATION THREAD on THIS AWESOME CLASS MAN. He has shared so much knowledge with the whole team and LEADERSHIP is his name. Whit is a round brilliant Diamond with all 57 facets. Ram fans will never forget after what we pull off this year and last year. I just pray we can get him back next season. Yes he has had a couple errors in the longest stretch of time. We will search for decades to find and afford another.

Only 5 teams in the NFL have 2 road wins as of tonight. RAMS are one of them.
Your point? Thread is about Whitworth, not stats. Posting the same exact words in different threads.... I don’t get it.

Should'nt be a bashing thread of Big Whit on this GREAT RAMS board. Not one word against such a special talent playing the hardest position in the NFL besides QB. He's a captains Captain. I was just pointing out a very small amount of GRATITUDE for what BIG WHITWORTH has given the RAMS since he joined us and spread his skills to all offensive linemen.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure I defended Whit. Love the guy. Geez.

And he walked on the moon, cured cancer with his blood, strangled Chuck Norris with his bare hands... geeeeeeze. Not bashing the guy, just was asking if anyone else felt like he lost a step.

But I will say, you have a gift for hyperbole.

There is a large gap between Dominant and serviceable.

Whitworth is not just serviceable, and not Dominant either.

I think when you add in what Whitworth does in the run game along with the pass game which has been against two Elite pass rushers then Whitworth probably is grading out as a B+ LT.

Whit is probably a 86 if i was giving madden scores. Serviceable would be like a 75.

Fair, serviceable was a poor word choice. Think you put it quite well.

Yea 37yr old big Whit did damn well against the 23yr old superstar. Myles Garrett is no joke and has the talent to single-handedly take over a game. I love this dude and hope he comes back for next year too. What he's provided just from a leadership standpoint cant be understated, and even if Whit has lost a step he still gets it done on Sundays. I think he's still hands down the best OL we have.

Whit was better in 2018 than he was late seasson 207...so, there is hope....but ya, he isn't a pro bowler anymore, but close to it.

Not concerned about him at all. I read many other forums GDT and was watching Browns fans and fans of other teams talk about how he's amazing and one of the best tackles in the game. We're lucky to have him and this is one of many over reactions going on from Rams fans.

I've been paying more attention on Demby.

No preseason for the entire group. Going against good defensive lines. Whit seems like the least of the offensive line problems so far. I think the 6 man fronts are slowing down the run game which slows down the passing game passing game too. Let's see how they settle down over the next few games.

I think you need to watch some tape. He's held his own and done a very good job doing so. Only thing I've noticed is his screen game seems to be lacking a bit. That could be timing with his Co Offensive linemen tho. They all need to be on the same page for it to be effective.

Pretty sure Whit lost a step but it looks marginal at worst. He's certainly performing better than at least 2/3's of the left tackles starting in the NFL
