Somehow I started watching a rerun of Rams 1985 NFC Championship game at the Bears.
Madden went nuts (literally) with the Telestrator. I full on cracked up!

Tinglehoff?Somewhere along the line Ryan said ED would lay it on the ground and he did. If Brock hits Brown in stride on 1st series maybe game is different. Tinglehoff breaking Ellards ribs on first punt sealed the deal.
I didn’t like Maddens ridiculous side. The scribbling telestration was annoying and the All Madden teams were just dumb.Madden was still the best.
Could be annoying with his Favre idolization but I still liked listening to him and Summerall.
My bad Hilgenberg was the Center that blew up Ellard on the punt return breaking his ribs. Probably don't have fond memories about Tinglehoff and the Vikings of those days either lol.Tinglehoff?
I have always said "what if" Dieter hits Brown on that pass.I still believe with Brock could've hit the slants to Ron Brown the Rams could've won that game. That's how the Dolphins beat the Bears that year. Rams had the defense, had the Offensive Line, just did not have the Quarterback. As much as I loved Dieter Brock.
He actually said Dickerson would lay it on the ground three times. And he was close -- I believe he coughed it up twice.Somewhere along the line Ryan said ED would lay it on the ground and he did. If Brock hits Brown in stride on 1st series maybe game is different. Tinglehoff breaking Ellards ribs on first punt sealed the deal.
The Maddenism I remember from that game was when he said something to the affect of... "That was a duck to Passworth"... Meaning a bad throw by Brock to Bobby Duckworth.I still believe with Brock could've hit the slants to Ron Brown the Rams could've won that game. That's how the Dolphins beat the Bears that year. Rams had the defense, had the Offensive Line, just did not have the Quarterback. As much as I loved Dieter Brock.
