UFC: Fight Night VanZant vs Waterson

I don't know if any of you follow UFC but I figured since the main event is two real cuties I'm sure a few of you could appreciate this fight this Saturday. I've followed Waterson for years being from New Mexico and looking forward to seeing her taking a big step coming over to the UFC from being the champ in Invicta. Paige isn't no push over though and this is going to be an interesting fight. If you don't know any of the fighters here is a vid:

Not only is my favorite fighter fighting but Super Sage Northcutt is fighting and I really think this guy is the next biggest thing that is going to happen to the UFC. I forsee him grabbing the championship and keeping it for a while.

Anyways anybody else follow MMA or UFC? If you are a fan of the other fighters I'm willing to bet on my fighters!

Northcutt has his hands full with Gall.
Not that CM Punk was to be taken seriously but Gall destroyed him.

Man you are so right, I can't wait to see how Northcutt handles Gall. It's going to be very interesting because he is not no push over. I'm a fan of Gall as well so I'm very excited for this weekend.

Hmmm favorite fighter? That is a hard one and I hate to even say this since he's all blown up now but I followed Conor way before he even became famous. He was making a name for himself when I was in the UK and my ex-gf's dad had me watch a fight of his while I was there. I also like Jon 'Bones' a lot but the dude is a knuckle head and I'm not so sure he'll return back to true form. But Waterson has been my darling for some years now and I am fully wanting to see her climb to the top! HELL OF A FREE CARD!

Dude seriously she was awesome. I almost didn't want this fight to happen because I like Paige almost as much as Michelle but I been following Michelle forever now and can't wait to see what she is going to do in the UFC! Championship her she comes!

Conner won me over with that last fight. Dude backed up all of the shit talking and dominated.

Would definitely like to see Vanzant keep winning and get a title shot.

Overall I'm really new to mma, a couple buddies started having me come over and watch it. Now I'm hooked.

Yes, he is pretty amazing with all the hype he creates but he sure as hell backs it up. Love how he is with his fans and pretty even keel with them.

I would like to see her continue winning to but not a win against the Karate Hottie! lol

Yeah we started like a sportsbooky type of things and it's fun as hell on fight nights!

Who is your favorite fighters?

First off, I love the UFC, I grew up a boxing fan in the 70's and 80's and lost my love for the sport due to the pay per view era. UFC has been brilliant in developing a fan base with free fight cards, free pre-lims on ppv nights and the emergence of fighters rising to glory from the Ultimate Fighter series.
That said, I'm a bit at a crossroads. My favorite fighters have reached and past their primes. Uriah Faber and Frankie Edgar have been my faves, and I love Miesha Taint.
Always liked Weidman too
So yeah, Macgregor became my new dude, love his style. Im a little tired of his schtick, but man he backs it up

I'm fortunate. Here in FL, there's a place that shows the fights with no cover. Even if I'm broke, I will at least nurse a coffee and leave a nice tip so the server isn't hosed, but yeah, it works out. Had a pretty fat burger there tonight.

Got to see my fave, Nunes, drop bombs on Rousey tonight.

Man, I went from grousing that Nunes shouldn't be fighting Taint for the Championship to cheering for her at the top of my lungs by the end of that fight. Have been ever since. Can't remember the last time a fighter won me over that fast.

Tyson? I dunno.

The January 15 card worries me a bit. I used to be a huge BJ Penn fan. Still am...of his legacy. I dunno if I EVER saw a guy as naturally flexible and strong as he was. They didn't call him "The Phenom" for no reason. But he's gonna get rocked. He's been in some wars and in his last few fights, he's taken some big damage. That's the problem with some of those island warriors (Penn is Hawaiian). Pride goeth before the fall... I just don't want Penn getting permanently hurt.

It's weird I've found I've had several fighters win me over here recently in the last few years. I think part of it is the UFC is brilliant on making stacked cards (even the free ones) and how they give you the back drop human side of the fighters leading up to the fight.

One of those being the Polish Princess Karolina Kawkolicz. God just her demeanor coming out to fight the champ, her smile and the calm about her made me a huge fan! Not to mention she is cute asf! Lol

Yeah it's sad with Penn and how's he's turned out. It bound to happen for all fighters when father time randomly catches up to you. Maybe the hand eye coordination is slipping? Idk...
