Game Day Thread

The GDT is a live thread tradition here at ROD.

While we all get fired up watching the game, please remember our core principles; we always show respect for our team and each other.

Despite the emotional highs and lows watching a game, we will moderate this thread with that in mind, however please refrain from name calling. This applies to players, the Rams organization, and each other.

This is the core rule of the GDT. Moderators are tasked to issue thread bans, at a minimum, to maintain this standard.

This is our team. Win or lose. Good days and bad. We are here for FUN, not to be dragged down.

A more loosely moderated atmosphere can be found in the chat room.

Go Rams!

This is a game the Rams must win to become a legit playoff contender. The atmosphere should be like a playoff game.

Biggest game since the SB for us. 26-23 Rams. I can keep myself calm by understanding that even if we lose, we can beat the Giants and the 49ers and still have a chance. However, WAY easier to win tonight!

This is it folks! My only question is where will I be? Home...or at Buffalo Wild Wings...:sunglasses:

The Rams need:

- Stafford at his "MAX" slinging it...and "Max" Williams/Freeman running it

- Pass/Run balance...(Now that Tutu is back, I'd like to see a few 4 WR sets)

- Good DLine pressure on Carr (5 sacks ought to do it). We know the Ram secondary can get suspect...they need that QB pressure.

- McVay calling what works and not outsmarting himself

- The Ram secondary needs to log their best game here. (I'd like to see 3 INTs)

GO RAMS...GET IT DONE!!!

FUCK THE AINTS! The playoffs start tonight for both teams. Cant imagine aints fans feel to confident with their QB, but I know Rams fans trust Matthew Stafford to ball out and lead us to a win.
GO RAMS!

Talk about the perfect storm. This has me concerned. We are having one of the biggest storms of the year and I hope our boys got to get in some real practice this week before the rain started yesterday. We even had a tornado warning due to lighting. That's just crazy!
On the other hand, maybe they needed the rest with the short week. Thank goodness SOFI has a roof as it is pissing like cats and dogs today. Be safe if you're driving to the game.

We've not looked too clean with our screen game this season and for every positive one we execute, there's at least one other that results in a big hit on a helpless reciever and a loss of yards... sometimes it appears that we're tipping it off somehow, or the timing is off and just obviously out of sync..

With NOLAs aggressive edge rushers coming in hot, TONIGHT sure would be a perfect time for the Rams to have their screen game running like a well oiled machine.
