Maybe a little surprised tru over goff but I'd imagine no holdout and that would have been Donald anyway

Isn't this something the players vote on?

I am happy that Tru is a captain. He seems to lead the young rams secondary and provides them with that grit and confidence.

No surprise there, Whitworth's presence resonates with the offense. Once Goff reaches that level, he'll earn that captain's patch

Fully expected goff. Teammates have seen the commitment and improvement and want to add to that confidence and upswing. I think it's a good motivator to not let the team that voted for him, down. AD would have been there but.....he's not there to be there.

Not surprised at Goff not getting the captaincy. He does need to earn it first. Also not surprised with Gurley, Hekker, Barwin, and Ogletree. Tru surprised me a little, but I guess since he's the elder statesman in the secondary, he gets to be a captain.

Glad Goff isn't one of them. Let him focus on his command of the offense and growing as a passer. That's more than enough for him at the moment. The Captaincy will happen.

Honestly, I'm only slightly surprised about Goff not be selected. Ever since McVay was hired, he has been very even keel when asked about Goff in Pressers. If you play close attention, he never goes over the top when assessing Goff or speaking of his progress. rather he reverts back to the team's overall progress. And now that he hasn't been selected, I think McVay is strategically and mentally challenging Goff and letting him know, "Hey, nothing's gonna come easy and you are going to have to work the hardest as the head hancho on the team." I think it's all on purpose, to really challenge our young, future stud.
