Alright ya'll(@CGI_Ram). I know this is the big one. There's gotta be some fun recipes people are making or their wives make for the super bowl.

My wife and I have still not completely decided what we will cook for the game. First we thought paella and we still may do that, I am curious about trying to make skyline chili (cause it's hella expensive to get if you don't live in Cincinatti) but I have been told its really hard to make.

I'm out for the game with a buddy, so the menu will be beer and the most expensive scotch the bar has at victory time.

Skyline chili is expensive to make? Why?? I sometimes make a cincinatti chili, which is similar from what I understand, and it's very basic..... Like these bitch ass bungles.

Gonna do chicken taco bowls. You make up all the shit then toss what you want in a bowl, mix it up, and get to it.

Ingredients are chopped grilled chicken (I use a no salt marinade of spices and lemon), beans (I use different beans depending on what is available but low sodium black beans are best), rice (steamed since I'm on a no fun diet), steamed corn (the sweet corn is magnificent for this), fresh salsa, and green chile sauce. The sauce I prefer to use my wife's tomatilla sauce but she hasn't made any so gonna use canned.

I of course need to go easy on the sauce but what really makes this is the sweet corn and black beans with that grilled chicken.

@A.J. Hicks it's just adding in cinnamon and allspice to a basic chili recipe. You don't need much of either it'll go a long way.

We are hosting, but we're only having three other couples and two of the couples (guys) are Ram fans the other couple loves football (Bills & Commode fans) and know enough when to keep their mouth shut. All of us took Monday, February 14th off and joked that I was taking that day off because I'm a hopeless romantic, but I plan on partying like it's 1999....Here is the menu.

  1. Chicken Wings (Always Need to start with this)
  2. Spanish Artichoke Dip (I don't like it, but everyone else does)
  3. Rib Steaks (The Indoor Grill will be humming before game time of course)
  4. Pigs in a Blanket (We're playing the Bengals we refer to these as Tiger by the tail)
  5. Pizza (just has to be included I will try to be good)
  6. French Fries (Again for others)
  7. Single Malt Scotch (Plenty before, during & After)

Keep this shit traditional. Eating some fucking pizza and then celebratory ice cream later.

What is on the scotch menu? I have a 41 year old bottle that I am waiting for a good excuse to open.

I let my dad choose. So since my chili and cornbread didn’t help much the last SB, he wants my ham and white bean soup. I know, boring, but that’s what the man wants. I’m still making the cornbread tho. We’ll probably get some asada and al pastor tacos to hold us downbeforehand.

Drinks: German Rauchbier, and Lagavulin 16 if we win it.

*buying it online is incredibly expensive. I live in Utah and have friends from Ohio that swear by it but just buy it in big batches when they visit Ohio.

They have all told me you can't match it making it homemade. I don't know. I'm up for a challenge if you have a recipe to share.
