Round 3 Pick #69 Tyler Biadaz C Wisconsin

View: https://youtu.be/fTggdACp1qI

Draft Scouting Report:

Rating:
82

Strengths:

  • Rare movement skills
  • Out of his stances and across a gap or to the second level
  • Great run blocker
  • Quality power
  • Very aware of stunts
Weaknesses:

  • Good power but not classic Wisconsin blocker in terms of strength or grip strength
  • Flails at second level more than you'd expect
  • Balance isn't great
  • Solid but unspectacular anchor in pass pro
Round 3 Pick #80 Jordan Brooks TexasTech

Round 3 Pick #81 Zach Moss RB Utah

Round 3 Pick #84 Darrell Taylor OLB Tennessee

1586218687774.png

Taylor is as rocked up as any edge in the draft class. He's still refining his game, but has a nice long-arm bull-rush that's his go to.

Vhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rw6JaHNhXXo

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxohuJwGhGA

Strengths:

  • Somewhat polished hand-work rusher
  • Can covert speed to power and has a nice arsenal of pass-rushing moves
  • Can beat blocks vs. pass or run
  • Flashes of high-level bend around the corner
Weaknesses:

  • Just adequate explosiveness, bend, and sustained speed into backfield
  • Motor could run a little higher throughout the game
NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero was the first to report that Taylor would not be participating in the workouts at the NFL Combine as the former Tennessee linebacker is not physically ready to go following his surgery.

If you missed the news a few weeks ago, Taylor announced he played the final 13 games of his college career with a stress fracture in his foot. Despite the setback, Taylor still managed to rack up 16.5 sacks in the two seasons he played in Jeremy Pruitt’s defensive system. Taylor also had 21 tackles for loss and 82 overall tackles during that time.

Taylor is expected to participate in Tennessee’s upcoming Pro Day in April and will still be able to interview and meet with teams during this week’s combine.

Round 3 Pick #104 Willie Gay Jr LB Miss. State

An article on him
Gay is one of the most confounding evaluations at the linebacker position in this class. His movement skills are top-notch for the position. He’ll likely run in at least the 4.5s — if not faster — and gains depth with ease in coverage. In his three seasons at Mississippi State, Gay earned coverage grades of 87.1 (2017), 90.6 (2018), and 90.0 (2019). Over his entire career though, Gay only played 294 snaps in coverage (about one season’s worth). There are a number of reasons for this, all of which are concerning to say the least. Gay was a sub-package player his first two seasons for the Bulldogs and then started his 2019 season off sidelined with an injury. After reeling in a pick-six on his very first drive of the season against Kentucky, Gay was subsequently suspended for undisclosed reasons after the game. The off-field vetting for Gay during the draft process may very well be as important as the on-field.

Biggest issues?
He has a little bit of knuckle head in him, playing time, and he takes bad angles once and a while which with NFL coaching should correct.

Round 4 Pick #113 Netane Muti OG Fresno St.

Round 6 Pick #184 Rodrigo Blankenship

Projected Starters

QB: Jared Goff
HB: Zach Moss
WR: Josh Reynolds
WR: Robert Woods
WR: Cooper Kupp
TE: Tyler Higbee
LT: Andrew Whitworth
LG: Bobby Evans
C: Tyler Biadasz
RG: Calvin Throckmorton
RT: David Edwards

SDE: Michael Brockers
NT: A'Shawn Robinson
UT: Aaron Donald
OLB: Samson Ebukam
WILB: Jordan Brooks
SILB: Willie Gay Jr.
OLB: Darrel Taylor
LCB: Jalen Ramsey
RCB: Troy Hill
SLCB: David Long Jr.
FS: John Johnson III
SS: Taylor Rapp

K: Rodrigo Blankenship
P: Johnny Hekker
LS: Jake McQuaide
KR: Bowden Jr.
PR: Bowden Jr.

The whole point of this draft is relieve us of being under the cap, signing our class and having some room to breath while adding critical depth if not starters around multiple units for the cheap of 4 years.

The biggest unit that got an upgrade is the LB core.

10 OL depth:
Edwards
Evans
Blythe
Noteboom

Not bad to secure the OL with cheap talented tenure.

Wow! 6 new starters

Did you mean to say, " Over the Cap" ?

I do like Biadisz, Gay and Bowden. Bowden could be used as an option QB in certain situations.

Lol that’s a funny ass gif! I don’t know if it signifies your still thinking about it or it’s to dumb to process?

Yes I did mean to say over the cap. Lol to bad you can’t edit past an hour! :(

I could only imagine what McVay could do with a guy like Bowden. A lazy man would says he’s another Austin. He can legit run routes and rush the ball while taking snaps from center and throw a TD. Plus he’s a Tavon type of returner. Love that dude. He’d be an amazing 3rd down RB flat or route option.

Yea bro. It means I'm heavily thinking deeply about it, while nodding haha. Contemplating that this could actually happen.

1st - it seems like a snead type of draft moving down and getting extra picks.

2nd - Somehow we still manage to get Moss and all these real good lineman like Biadaz and Muti and some other dude I never heard of but who looks like he can destroy some people.

3rd - We have so many third round picks that I lost track, it seems like 11 or something.

4th - We also get all these linebackers and one named gay. Which reminded me of Michael Sam. Which made me wonder where he is.

5th - You found our kicker.

6th - You have us starting 3 rookie LBers and 2 rookie Olineman which first made me laugh at the thought. But then I thought wouldn't that be something if we were able to do that and be the first team ever to start so many dam rookies and still win the Superbowl.

Deep stuff man. What if?

And by the way, that's me in the front seat thinking of your draft, and you in the backseat thinking "what is he doing with his fingers and what does it mean?"

That’s a lot there man! Lol Thank you for the thoughts and ideas. So excited to see what McSnead has planned or works in less than a week! I’ll respond in regards to your points or statements..

1. On the trade value chart it all works out so it’s theseable, I wasn’t a huge fan of the Ramsey trade because that limits our GM’s greatest strength in the draft. This trade allows us to refortify this roster which I have no doubt Snead Can and will do.

2. Badazz and Muti are two road graders in the run game that need to improve in pass blocking but feel with a good 1/2 year plus they could contribute learning and getting stronger. Throckmorton is a universal swiss army knife on the line that grades out 77+ at any position he's played on the line. I'm sure you're like me and tired of seeing the OL give Goff or our RB's issues. Time to fix it with an influx of talent and depth and could see Snead doing that.

3. Depth in this draft all the way to the end of round 4 is pretty f'n good. I'm excited to see who we end up with.

4. LOl! I bet he had to set some people straight back in the school days with that name. Guess it gave him a chip on his shoulder as well. I played LB and love a good talent pool of guys there. No reason with AD etc on the line our LB's shouldn't be able to add that exclamation in our running and passing game! I seen something that Sam said he wished he went undrafted.

5. I love Blankenship, but we just signed 2 kickers.

6. Honestly starting rookies compared to some we had there wouldn't be such a bad thing. At least a bad play or busted coverage you could explain it's due to being a noob not that he sucks and why is he out there? In reality if this was the case these lineman outside of Badazz would probably have to get up to speed and technique etc. by mid season plus.

That's funny ass gif ! IDK I love his acting and movies but damn his Lincoln commercials? wth?

Well, I hear a lot of people talk about the depth in the third round so I can see one or more move backs to draft a lot of guys there. Could be a great move for long term.

I am not opposed to drafting 3 Oline man in this draft. I would probably start the center as a rookie and then let the other guys watch for half a season before I through them in the fire personally, if then.

My feelings to man! I’m getting more excited each day that passes compared to last drafts. We could really catch up to some of these teams in our division again with a great draft.
