Tough call for me.

But here's my top 10, and in order:

Goff (duh)
Gurley
Watkins
Quinn
Kupp (no real doubts about him but can't help myself)
Tavon (fingers crossed)
Higbee/Everett
Joyner (gulp)
Sullivan
Webster

I'm gonna be kinda busy, huh? Hope to see lots of reassuring and a few exciting things vs the Colts.

Hope that team rustiness from excess "rest" during PS games is at a minimum. Sigh...

Anybody have a different top 10 list or list order?

I think Gurley will have my attention the most...along with Brown & Havs.

I'll also have my eyes on the defensive front. Gotta stop the run...AND NO MORE 3RD & LONG CONVERSIONS!!!

I expect Goff to be decent, make some nice plays, make some mistakes...I can't be to critical about him at this stage. Obviously I'll be watching him, as he'll be a part of EVERY offensive play. ;)

Tyler Higbee. He's very inconsistent and may not be reliable whether blocking or catching. Look on the right side when Higbee is next to Havenstein going for a block, Goff might get body-slammed because Higbee's man just overwhelm him at the point of attack.

Mostly the offensive skill positions. With regard to guys like Whitworth, what I want to see most is a blur as Gurley streaks past him through a big hole on his way to the second level.

With regard to the D, it's really not any individual, it's how it plays as a unit in Wade's D.

Edited to add: I would like to see Tavon sneak up on everybody with a big play or two. Nobody has seen him in this offense. Hoping McVay has something up his sleeve that gets Tavon in space for a big gainer/TD.

It is admittedly hard to narrow it to one player, but I will go Sammy Watkins. I'm excited to see Jared and Sammy surprise everyone with 5-7 connections, 80yards+ and at least one score.

I will be watching the right side of the offensive line and Gurely with baited breath.
Everyone thinks the Colts are going to try to shut down the Rams run game. I don't. I think they're going to pass rush the hell out of Goff and see if he can beat them.

If the Colts are smart they'll over load the left side with blitzes, since that's where Todd will likely be doing most of his running (good blocking side.) And force the plays to the right.
This is where me watching Gurely comes in because he is going to have to prove he can break tackles and make guys miss to keep the offense from looking one dimensional and converting on 3rd downs.

I'm not a good judge of line play, so I'll be looking for Goff to handle the pocket well and go through progressions.

The TV angle only lets you see so much. Hope they show lots of replays with the secondary shot. Most plays if not all start with Goff so he gets most of my attention. So much happens so fast on every play it's had to watch them all each play. On defense I like to focus on Quinn at least a handful of plays to see how far he gets into the QBs space. I've focused on Barron in the past because he was blitzing or in coverage and I wanted to evaluate him. He should be very active in this defense. I'll look at how Phillips brings pressure too. In general I look to see the push of both offense and defensive lines. The cameras will focus on who makes the plays. I'll look at formations this year more along with WR/TE releases.. As stated Goff gets the most attention and after his last preseason game I'll try to concentrate on his pocket awareness, timing reads and eye focus. Offensive line pass blocking goes hand in hand with watching Goff.

Goffball in the Kupp!

Interested to see how the Rams spread the ball around. The first two series will be scripted so that will be a great indicator right off the bat.

Interested to see what kind of push we can develop with this 3-4 defense. I havent seen much of a pass rush in the pre-season so I'm alittle worried.

The Offensive Line as a unit and Jared Thomas Goff. Goff needs to get his first victory and play well to get the monkey (Guerrilla) off his back, if Goff falters at home against a bad defense without their best player, it might be tough to recover.

With that being posted, I'm confident Goff will have a good game and once he strings together another fine performance against the Redskins, the pundits will turn their attention to the age of Tom Brady.
