It's the same rationale as with Tutu last year.
If he plays the same, they won't want him.
I hope they don't give the man the Tutu treatment.
He won't even be active part of the time.
And most of the other part of the time he'll be on the sideline.

I will never figure out the;
"Mystery Of Tutu".

Teams have a 5th year option on 1st Round picks. Forbes was a 1st Round pick in 2023.

The Rams declined the 5th year option on Forbes. That 5th year would be 2027.

2026 is Forbes' 4th year. He is under contract with the Rams for 2026.
In fact, his $2.85M salary in 2026 is guaranteed. Rookie contracts are fully guaranteed.
Even if the Rams cut Forbes this year, he would count against their cap for $2.85M.

Always nice to have someone if the establishment who can deliver the facts........

We already declined his 5th year option. So that tells you the Rams are not sold on him being worth any kind of big money second contract. We have him for next season and wouldn’t save any money by cutting him. So this is very much a prove it year for him. If he balls out, we either lose him in FA and get a comp pick, or we sign him at below that 5th year option $s. So the answer to your question is - maybe?

He will get another year to find a role in the defense. Maybe the new veteran talent that was added in the offseason will help him. He struggles in run defense because of his size limitations but he seemed to be very effective in coverage against Jackson Smith Njigba of Seattle so that’s a positive.

The super speedy 3rd wide out "Mystery Of TuTu" experiment overall was a waste of top draft selection, waste of time on the field & in the the Rams salary cap.

I wonder if #9 has a preference at this time in his career for 13 personnel TE?

#1-drafted two TE's at the top of the draft the last 2 years.

#2- resigned long time starting TE Higbee to a 2 yr contract to go with veterans TE's Parkinson & Allen.

#3- Should I mention the over 6-2 size & freak big power toughness of receiver Puka Nacua?

#4-The early drafting of a valid legit Swing OT to protect #9.

#5- Veteran WR Devante Adams is also an over 6-2 large sized receiver.

The entire NFL world had the Rams drafting a quick WR early.......What does the 13 personnel offense bring to the field to benefit the 38 yr old Stafford?

Even their one draft pick wide receiver Daniels is 6'2 and over 200 lbs and looks like he doesn't avoid contact after the catch if you look at his tape.
Yeah they're definitely going to use the 13 personnel offense more I would say. You can have a couple TEs in the backfield blocking and send some out as receivers if needed.
I can almost see McVay right now with a chalkboard drawing up some new plays.
I think the new offensive goal is to beat up their defensive backs (and linebackers) on the way down the field with much bigger receivers.
And I can't wait. ;)
