An interesting spread, Robinson getting a lot more snaps than Kupp. Only 1 snap for Tutu but I'm guessing that was more due to us being ahead most of the game. Higbee had a catch on almost half of his snaps... we need him back for Philly.

They played a lot of 2 and 3 TE sets. Kupp was in on 6 of the 12 personnel snaps, the rest were 11 personnel.

On the PFF game review they mentioned that the Rams, who were among the least Cover 1 teams (think they were around 14%), played that call around 30% of the snaps and it obviously fucked with Darnold's mind. That call I think favors Durant, not so much Williams but overall the secondary stepped up big time. I mean the surprise element of the opponent playing a different look in certain situations will inevitably wear off and you gotta either surprise them again with your adjustment or execute your ass off without the surprise element.

So the players deserve a ton of cred man. Execution is what winning teams do.

I am convinced Kupp is really struggling to put the injury behind him in terms of return to performance as opposed to return to play, so I do not find his snaps surprising. This game was effectively over early. Certainly by halftime and you could even argue midway through Q2. I suspect with that being the case they pivoted to load management for #10. He is such a capable blocker that I do not see him coming off the field much vs. Philly.

On that back shoulder Stafford completed to him he was about to run right past that corner. He was moving pretty good but had to stop and turn around. So idk but it would be nice to see Kupp get back in that playoff zone for this run, where he's killing it with the options and he and Stafford are on the same page. Maybe that's still coming if we're lucky.

I think the change was to put Minnesota's defense in an awkward position. They like to play in their nickel and dime packages way more than base. So using heavier formations forces them to play more base.

Philly played less base defense than Minnesota, so we could see this again on sunday

I’m for anything that takes a team out of their norm. It is obviously better to be the team dictating change than reacting to it.

BB3 needs to be good to go. Would love to see a 5-man D-Line, with Speights paying tight as a 6th in the box.
