Verse definitely looked gassed towards the end. They have 4 active, Hampton only got 3 snaps though. Jackson's snaps for the season are 9, 0, 3, 6. They're just not subbing them in.

That first drive for Buffalo the refs were bad. They initially wanted to call late hit out of bounds. When they realized he was not out of bounds they had to save face and call it roughing the passer. This ref crew was ridiculous. We coulda won by a lot more if they called it fairly.

I guess they fear that teams will automatically run at Hampton. I'm still curious to see how he would do playing some of the hybrid stuff that Hoecht does so that the latter could spell Verse and Young more.

They respect his speed no matter who the opponent is. Now, he is limited with the ability to block, but stretching the defense plus having reliable hands has been evident all year.

TuTu only got the snaps he did because Robinson got hurt. Would love to see the 50/50 split moving forward.

You're right. I've always suspected, and have stated a few times, that the biggest issue with Atwell was his lack of rapport with Stafford. They never seemed to have strong chemistry and timing always seemed a little off. That seems to have improved.

Atwell is a killer on those out routes. Stafford just needs to throw it to a spot and we have seen that the last two games. Almost impossible to sit on him on those routes due to the risk of the double move.

He finds space. I see him as a weapon we don’t have with anyone else.

Maybe he doesn't play as much due to a lack of confidence in the O line? Those fancy routes Tutu runs do take time to develop.

I noticed this last year with Young and Turner. By December they were not as productive. At week 13 they already surpassed the average college season. It would be nice if they could at least rest the rookies a little bit. But it’s crunch time

I thought he was good last game, really liked his separation on a few of those routes. Now we're going to play SF on Thursday night and we might not have Robinson due to that shoulder injury. Can he step up and provide what the offense needs. We'll see.

Yeah, as good as Puka & Kupp are, they struggle to get separation against good man to man. Now, they are great at fighting for the ball to diminish that issue, but Tutu is a tough cover against man to man, and yes, he does find the open space in zones very quickly. He is like a poor man's Az Hakim.

They looked that way chasing allen. Verse basically stood up and watched 2 plays in a row before they got him off the field (and not in time).

Maybe McVay has been using Tutu wrong this whole time. He thought he drafted a Kahlil Shakir. Or Brandin Cooks. Instead he drafted another middle of the field target. It seems Tutu’s strength is more the threat of his speed instead of his speed.

The problem is that they have mid field targets for comebacks. They didn’t need to use a second round pick on one. But he’s here now, and for as much as I didn’t like overdrafting him, I’m happy he is.

This is too narrow IMO.

Tutu is a good middle-of-the-field target but he's also a vertical threat with his speed. For whatever reason, though, the timing with Stafford on his deep routes has always been off. Stafford typically underthrows him.

But even in the Bills game, his speed helped. I forgot what Brady called it but they ran him on deep routes where they ran 3 WRs to one side - one deep, one intermediate, and one shallow. Atwell's speed helps clear out space for the intermediate read that Stafford kept going to.
