Wait....Are we drafting Ot's, WR's or 3rd basemen?
As complicated as the NFL draft is it's nothing compared to the baseball draft in complexity. Up to 40 rounds, 95% of a teams picks have no realistic chance to make the majors, just picked to fill a spot at a certain position on a minor league team to support the one or two legit prospects on that team. Not only do they need guys that can play just enough to be competitive they need to have good character. I heard a scout on the radio once say "You've seen those styrofoam peanuts when opening a package? We just drafted 30 of them".
