His answer at the end about being asked about Kelce/Swift was funny. Took a small jab at the question while congratulating them.

I'll give Reeder props, he's obviously got good football acumen, he has some pass rush skill, and has value on special teams. That's great, I just don't want to see him in charge of the middle of the field when Saquan Barkley or Christian McCaffrey is on the other side because I know how that's going to end. I have nothing against the dude as a backup/ST player.

But somehow when he makes the team he always finds his way out there and always ends up flopping around the field trying to make fingertip tackles because he doesn't have the agility/change of direction to take proper angles so that he can wrap up a runner. It's just frustrating year after year.

I concur, plus for the life of me I cannot recall Reeder making a big play on special teams. Has he led the unit in tackles? Has he ever blocked a punt? I understand that is not how everything is measured, but I would like to have seen him make some to support McVay’s claim.

McVay's comment about Chris Paul ("wish him nothing but the best") suggests (to me) that Paul is not a candidate for the Practice Squad.

The last few guys we had that were ST all stars went on to start on other teams. Yet Reeder hasn’t but he’s important for ST?

Which means he knows that some team has likely already poached him. Same with Schrader.

Perhaps ... possible that they were simply not pleased with Paul.

Another possibility is that I am just Plain Wrong ... there is some Precedent for that.

I am very doubtful McVay wouldn’t want Paul and Schrader on the PS. Both showed promise and are nowhere near their peak. Im predicting Schrader makes it to the Rams PS but Paul does not.

We have to factor in coachspeak. Of course he's gonna spend most of the time building up Reeder, but the other side of the equation could be that Paul was unimpressive in all phases. Obviously he's not gonna say that.

Where have WE seen this before OUR eyes. HATE is never suppose to be a good thing.

LIFE is funny, but I LOVE ME some Rams.I appreciate this forum & The People 4 the people here. This is a Kool Ramily.I know I get a lot of rafted liked some I deserve it.Oldbutnotdead had his takes as well as a classic poster who sort of came & went. The strong still post & WE get through tough seasons to appreciate some Great Seasons.

Look forward to the season. Go Rams !! Miss my buddy Dave.He was The Most Positive Poster Ever here.I know in my heart I would have Enjoyed taking him for a road trip.We would have meet up with The Train Camp Crew for sure.I like to go incognito(not Richie). I know he was probably looking down on The Rams from The LOU!! (Just thought of that now) CAL LOU,which I never went to see on the HILL.Going to Cal State where BubbaRam had his binoculars out.I would’ve went there to Go see. He lived that way Towards ( Reagan) & True R) The Valley..
I believe he was buried in Veterans Memorial? Might still have post with him.
He never got to see The Rams practice & have there foot print in CALIFORNIA again. If you were to look at a MAP & look at the location of Cal Lou,you’d see he he is above it now from a elevation point for sure I would believe.Would be cool to see where he rests & just honor him for what he did for this Country & as a True Rams Fan. Always positive & kept peace because of who he was.

—Anyways Life goes on,The Rams move on & THE SUPER KOOL thing is THE RAMS have there OWN place NOW thanks to Demoff & Stan. This is The FIRST TIME being away from THE LOU & there closer to The COAST. They’ll always feel The FIRE from which you go to LOST ROAD pass Pepperdine U & to The COAST & you FEEL THE HEART of it.I got taken off the 101(fwy) to Go Down The Coast to LA from Oxnard watching The Rams vs Dallas.
—Actually made me sick to my stomach.Anyone who knew or drove through Malibu can feel the devastation if in the area for a game.Still a BEAUTIFUL COAST,but will NEVER be the same.

Anyways just another of my CRAZY RAMBLES.I do have a Heart, but for some reason I think Dave had a Purple one.If not probably deserved one.I know his HEART was filled with RAMS COLORS over The YEARS. I believe The Rams might be getting some black in the mix in 2025 from rumors??
- Peace to ALL of THE RAMILY
