Jared Mayo the new Patriot coach is 1 month younger than McVay’s age when he got hired. Amazingly McVay is now the fourth longest tenured coach in the current NFL trailing only Mike Tomlin, John Harbaugh and Andy Reid. The NFL is definitely the Not For Long League.

McVay was hired at 30.

Mayo was hired at 37.

Mayo is the youngest HC now. McVay is still the youngest HC ever to be hired at 30. Not happening again. McVay is 1 of 1.
