I miss some of the big plays those guys made for us.

I miss the Tavon we saw in the Colts game.

The 1x in 5 seasons he went nuts.

Should have his picture next to 'underperform' in the dictionary.

McVay only needed one season before he moved Tavon's underperforming ass. That will go down as one of the most BS press conferences in team history too.

I hate seeing Lawrence Phillips be the running back instead of Marshall Faulk.

Yeah, just to be clear, I think all 3 of those guys sucked.

But every once in a long while they all made some nice plays.

But yeah, for all 3, the bad far outweighed the good.

Wasn't there another guy in that group named Brandon Gibson? He must have been really bad to not make the list.

Then you have Danny Amendola who actually dared to be a good receiver in Fisher's "No good receivers allowed" offense. So they let him sign elsewhere for like 5 million a year. Fisher couldn't stand having a guy proving that passing the ball routinely was a good strategy.

In all honesty - and despite this thread, I really do mean it - I wish Stedman Bailey never got shot. He would've killed it in McVay's offense, along with Kupp and Woods.

.

The cheats were deserved winners in both superbowls against the Rams and won both games fair and square.

Britt and Austin had their moments. Both had lengthy NFL careers with fair production. We are obviously much better off now, but those guys were hardly scrubs. Quick was a journeyman JAG.

I don't think the blame is all on the players from the Fisher era. With better offensive coaching and systems, the Rams likely get a couple more wins per year at least. Heck, maybe the same can be said if Bradford's knees can just stay healthy and the Rams don't have to play multiple full seasons with a backup QB. Then instead of 7 wins we get 9+ consistently. How long does Fisher keep his job in that scenario? Can the Rams go on an underdog playoff run? They always seemed to play to the level of their competition under Fisher. Do we still end up in a draft slot to select Aaron Donald? It's probably for the best things worked out as they did. But those Fisher years sure were maddeningly frustrating. The team never could take that next step but always kept you thinking they were right on the cusp. Football purgatory.
