You'd have to think so. I mean, the guy was motionless for about a minute and was in that "you got knocked the fuck out" position on the ground with his arms outstretched. I was pretty amazed that he was back playing again in the same game. You'd think a concussion was a forgone conclusion in that case.

Then, after the fact, Shurmer said that they did check him, when they obviously didn't....not good.

Well a similar thing happened to the Chargers earlier this year when OG Kris Dielman had a concussion, stayed in the game, the cameras caught this, and then he had a seizure on the plane ride home. I dont recall a ton of criticism towards Norv Turner for this.

<a class="postlink" href="http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/10/29/nfl-reviewing-kris-dielman-concussion/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20 ... oncussion/</a>

I wonder if the NFL will start punishing teams (fines) for leaving players in the game when they clearly shouldnt have been.

I think the thing that bothers me the most is that the Steelers seem to not give a shit about these kinds of things except that they cry about getting in trouble for it. When players are saying "We don't care about the league's message anymore." I don't think that's right. If it was up to me I'd have suspended Clark as well for the remainder of the season. Harrison would have been done just because he seems to do this every year and obviously it's not bothering him enough to stop.

Yeah, but did Turner openly lie when asked? I don't know. And bluecoco, I agree, don't like the message.

In one player's defense, Polamalu is one of the game's biggest advocates for concussion awareness, and I don't think it's fair to paint him with the same brush. But I have to agree on Harrison and Clark. Those guys just don't give a fuck if they hurt people or not.
