I watched his show for a lot of years. He had serious interviews with politicians and stars, but none of the sensational stuff that other show had. I didn't agree with his politics, but I liked the guy.
RIP Mr Donahue.

The Goat of daytime talk shows.

Donahue didn’t have to dumb down to get ratings.
Even as a kid and teenager, I would watch his show.

Honestly had thought he already passed. Real bummer. Though I didn't ever really watch his show, I once went as Phil Donahue for Halloween back in the 80's. He was definitely an icon back then. RIP Mr. Donahue.

The only thing I liked about Phil Donahue was Marlo Thomas. However, RIP Sir.

Apparently. Either that or some of us are a little slow on the uptake. Not me of course. I'm sharp as a tack.
Or is a bit young. "That Girl" is not a show that young-uns know about.
