Always liked Kool And The Gang

even though I couldn't name a single member , even the singer

I was in my early teens when they where at to top of their popularity as they were a staple to all those celebrity variety and late night tv shows

I have a few Kool and the Gang songs on a couple of my play lists

Well there was Kool, but I don't know anyone else's name.

Early on they didn't have a lead singer. That's when they became big... with hits like Jungle Boogie. Much more funk oriented.

They hired JT and blew up with songs like Get Down on it and went more disco.

What's funny is that most die hard Kool and the Gang fans really don't like Celebration.
