And this supports what we all see with our eyes, that the OL is...problematic.

Would be great if we run a couple of WR screens like the one we ran last week. That will hopefully keep the pass rush honest and allow us to utilize the middle and deep parts of the field.

One thing those stats do not show is the play of the OL going into the playoffs.

For example in 2021 the Rams OL was a hot pile of shit for the first half of the season. Then around that halfway point they started playing as a cohesive unit, and were a different team the rest of the season and into the playoffs to win it all. So if you were to pull the game stats and total them up from that point on you'd see an above average OL and Stafford of course took full advantage.

Same thing happened in 2018, prior to Stafford. As well as last season. It's a trend with McVay teams. And last season's team went further than they should have given their roster.

Applying things to this season, they are following the model. Problem is we have deep flaws in our secondary this time around and you cannot have that in this league. On top of that we have shit ST as well with a kicker who is struggling a bit. But this is a passing league. Teams will hang it on you if you can't contain pass games.

I don't think Forbes is going to come in here and fix our secondary woes. He might help us, but how much is questionable. He's more of a futures addition most likely. But barring something significant changing in the performance of our secondary this roster does not look like they have what they need to be a good McVay team, i.e. the one that turns it on and rolls through Dec into the playoffs.
