Been a Rams fan since '77, through good, bad and ugly. Growing up in NorCal there were lots of whiner fans, but I just couldnt do it. They were always getting their asses kicked and I never really liked red. The blue unis with the horns on the helmet, along with kicking the whiners asses is what attracted me to be a Rams fan. You would think that with the ugly years we have seen, that this year wouldnt have been so painful. But I guess winning spoiled us a bit, I'm ready to be spoiled some more starting in 2020.

Fan since late '72 when I saw an action photo of Merlin Olsen in the Sears catalog and thought the horns on the helmet where this coolest thing ever in the history of the universe. My DNA was modified by seeing that pic, and I've never been a fan of another team in any sport like I've been a Rams fan.

Remember, Mcvay has been going non-stop since he became head coach. 2 playoff runs, then right into draft work. Loss of coaches each year. He gets the month of January off. He needs it.

That's a great point. While he would rather be coaching in the playoffs in January (and we'd prefer the same), the flip side is he gets some time to decompress and some extra time to figure out where this team needs tweaks and tuneups to get us back on track for next year. We've had two really good seasons back to back preceding this, and even with this year's troubles we have still had a better season than any we had between 2005-2016. We have good players to build around on both side of the ball. We aren't far away at all from being right back in the thick of things.

Then you come in and call us all happy with losing and good at it which is exactly the kind of comment that has led me to make this thread.

Show me where I said you're all happy with losing and are good at it. Sounds to me like you're just butt hurt because I will not feed into your BS.

Saw VanBrocklin, CrazyLegs, Fears, TankYounger and Dan Towler play in the Colosseum in 1951 (I think, don't remember much except the passing game was exciting, some big plays and some big sacks) . Not claiming steady fanship but met Merlin at his home in 1973? Dropped out in the late 80's-90s. Back since GSOT.

My take for 2019:
• fatal miscalculation on O-Line by Kromer/McVay, no getting around it;
• the Gurley of 2017-1818 is gone (draft a decent RB, they aren't hard to find)
•McVay, much as I admire him, was too slow to adjust in too many games this year;
• Legatron miss in Seattle a harbinger of "not our year",
• unlike in 2018, Rams do not get the injury/ball bounces/ref calls breaks
• tough, tough schedule and a tough, tough division.
• 2018 Rams got the breaks (eg, won lots of close games with late-game turnovers) and weren't quite as good as their record. 2019 Rams didn't and despite everything, are [a bit] better than their record.
• Looking ahead: without a great draft (c'mon Les) the Rams look to take a step back again with some bad contracts, cap issues and no #1 for two drafts. Don't see how we can keep all the talent we have. Hope we can keep Ramsey and Littleton. In fairness Cooks and Gurley should restructure, but not holding my breath.

I've been a fan since 1928...so piss off wanna be fans!
That would make you at minimum 100 (assuming you were 8 when you started rooting for the Rams)

damn you're old

Great game and great fight on the Rams...just too bad the blown coverage happened when it did.

I was impressed with Higbee...he showed up big time and played as well as Kittle and maybe better!

One thing that this season has done is showed you can't rest on your reputation...YOU GOTTA COME TO PLAY EVERY GAME!

The Rams are out of it...may the bad taste in their mouth motivate them for 2020!!!

Great game, just a couple plays short.
- missed GregZ kick
- blown Deebo coverage

3 plays decided our fate this season, these 2 + the GregZ missed kick vs. Seattle. Really, lots more plays than that; for some reason we really struggled in the RZ this year. Kept trying to get too cute I guess & not just pound Gurley in there. Get the running game going & next year we're back in the post-season.

I'd take this season over the 10 prior to McVay's arrival!! and we still got some Curds to chew on next week to take out some frustration. 9-7 in a softer division gets us in, smh.
Love this team, have since the magic '99 season (hence the moniker).
