You do realize this sort of virtue signaling cuts both ways?
Bottom line, who cares?
This stuff happens in every industry everyday.
She will be paid off so it doesn't go to court and be on her way.
Even if the org thinks they are in the right (and who knows?) it makes more sense to cut a check and be done with it.....as long as the amount isn't too outrageous.
That’s literally what I said, that it was a Rorschach test and people would see what they wanted to see based on various dispositions and biases.
Did you read all of what I said?
Also, you’re sort of giving away how you see it when you call it virtue signaling. Which virtue did I signal, exactly? Be specific. Are we talking divine virtues or human? Which religion (virtues are de facto religious entities. Secular conversations on this would be focused on morality and ethics)? Or are you saying virtue signaling as a pejorative, which is a whole different thing.
I didn’t say people would see it specifically one way or another and I did not judge in any way, I did note that some here have open and very strong views that these sort of Rorschach tests put on vivid display, for sure, which was why I limited my comments to that observation.
As for the allegations, I care because I spend a lot of money supporting this team and I’d like to think the organization reflects the on-field integrity.
I also don’t just throw up my hands and go, “well, bad stuff happens all the time, so why bother.” You’re perfectly free to say you don’t care, believe no one cares, bad shit happens all the time, it’s just how things will always be forever…etc.
I’m also free to want better, aspire to better, encourage better, want to see better happen every day.
