Seems like a decent pick up. Hopefully his main use will be holding for PATs

Looks pretty average on stats, decent inside 20 number meh for the rest. Guessing we still draft one or go for an udfa like Hekker himself was.

I assume Joe DeCamillis supported this signing. The Rams' ST-Coordinator coached Dixon his rookie season when Dixon was a sixth round draft choice. Guessing DeCamillis was also involved in Dixon's draft selection.

On the negative-side, it looks like Dixon's gross-average has declined every season since his rookie-year.

He has actually had two pretty good seasons for the giants he is only 28. He is a good punter but slipped last 2 years but also punted like a zillion times lololol like a pitcher he probably wore out his leg. Just see 3 QB sneaks and punt! That was the offense lol

Agree. I live in NYC and have seen him a lot. Dixon's OK.

Also, Denver's high-altitude is ideal for kickers while the swirling-winds in New Jersey are tough on kickers.

I Like Dixon Holder/Punts inside the 20

Thought there might be a chance with him being that he punted for Joe DeCamillis in Denver. Dixon is an excellent holder so the Rams don't lose anything there had 11 punts inside the 20 so that's a strength as well. Should be easier punting in SoFi then MetLife, but glad he's got experience punting in bad weather areas like Denver & New York and he's younger then Hekker too. Solid signing IMHO and although they might add an UDRFA, I believe Dixon will end up punting on September Morn.

Dixon was a quarterback in high school and has attempted three passes in his career, completing one for a 16-yard gain in 2016. Hekker was a trick-play specialist with his throwing ability, so perhaps Dixon can pick up a first down or two with his arm next season.

I expect the Rams to pick up a UDFA also. I am never big on Drafting a Punter. Feel like you are just a likely to get a solid punter as a UDFA, and would rather use the picks on other positions.

He’s experienced and solid. He’s a big guy, too 6’ 4”.

With this loaded punting class, no way they are all getting drafted... Rams are probably thinking an UDFA to compete with Dixon. If the rookie can’t beat him out, then we ride the experienced and solid Dixon.
