Huge sack production from this kid, and we needed an edge rusher. Definitely a potential steal.

Now this an Edge who needs to put on weight and gain strength. Lots of production against lesser competition so we'll see what he can develop into

Don't know if he can put on more weight, but he's actually got sneaky lower-body strength, solid production, super athletic. I like this pick. Him and Byron Young should transform this edge group. I think Hoecht is better off staying on the line with AD and BB3 as the other starters (with Murchison and Kobie Turner being the other two maybe someone else). I still have faith in Daniel Hardy and Kier Thomas as well; Hardy's another super athletic edge rusher, while Thomas could be a guy who could fill the strongside edge rusher role that Hollins/Lewis couldn't fill.

Explosive with the ability to bend. Good risk to take here despite his small size. Even if he doesn't ever become a full-time starter, I could easily see him being a very effective situational pass rusher.

It might be a done deal that Hoecht is am edge now. In fact I think Hoecht is the one for sure edge starter right now

Surely one of these smaller school stars we seemingly pick every draft will actually work out for us right? Law of averages.

The more explosive athletes like this for special teams, the better. Maybe he turns into something.

He seems like a Nolan Smith type, but less heralded.

So did Cooper Kupp. I'm not putting him on the same level but I'm not writing him off either. Plenty of good players from lower competition.

That guy is strange, started to come on for us, had a real down year, we cut him, then goes to Jets and is a pretty good player there.

not at all. he had a good year and played in the superbowl. we were all excited to see how he would go the next season except they cut him in preseason.

Yeah that's always the worry. But word I heard was he opened eyes at the Senior Bowl against good competition. We'll see but I'll hold off any judgement either way until training camp. If he's a ST demon that's a good start.

Oh yeah, I guess he didn't have a down year but just didn't show in camp, preseason the next year. He's been a very good player for the Jets. Exceptional even. Shame.
