It's a bit saddening that it didn't work out.

THT was injured all of last year, and was definitely passed up by Wallace, Woods, and even Lampkin. With us being interested in re-signing Witherspoon, and being interested in cornerbacks in the free agency market and draft, I can see why we released him, and why he wanted it.

But he does have real potential. He wasn't a Thorpe winner for nothing. He has real ball and coverage skills. He's just too small and too grabby for our current system.

I think he could go elsewhere and have a solid professional career. It was just never going to be with us. He may have been a penalty machine, but I don't put him in the same category as Kendrick who really is a knucklehead, on and off the field.

Best of luck to THT.

The Rams can draft Safeties, but are weak at drafting CBs. Hopefully they trend changes

Yeah, I can't speak to Tre's behavior off the field, but IMO Tre was a knucklehead between the sidelines. Getting ejected from a game, numerous personal foul penalties, egregious holding penalties. Just seemed to me like he kept making the same obvious mistakes over and over. Maybe he'll change those bad habits someday, but my guess is he'll struggle to make it in the NFL.

I'd like to see them draft a CB with a premium pick and stop the 6th round nonsense. When was the last time they drafted one early?

Maybe he would have got better but his size really inhibited his ability... mostly chasing and grabbing what little we saw of him. I'm guessing he would have been cut last year if he hadn't got put on IR before final cuts were made.

It's interesting, guy was a 6th round pick, not sure other 6th rounders have gotten as much attention.

I think people really wanted him to succeed and he had some pedigree in college.

But dude was a 6th round pick.

I never even learned to spell his name right.

I just remembered. David Long, 3rd round, is the only premium pick CB in the McSnead era.

Did nothing his whole time with the Rams except on 4th down in the superbowl when the game was on the line. He caused Burrow to hold the ball a half second longer and that's all AD needed to end the game.

Not every late round pick works out. It seemed he had potential based on scouting reports and Youtube highlights. He was definitely very quick. Very grabby though too as others mentioned. And small, obviously. I don't think he will be missed but wish him well.

That's a nice pull. I think that alone is worth a 6th round pick.

I can only think of one thing that the Fisher regime was better at than the McVay regime, and that was at drafting DBs, particularly corners. It's the one position in the draft this regime has really struggled with and really never hit big.

Fisher drafted Jenkins early 2nd and Trumaine Johnson in the 3rd. The McSnead team, in 8 years, has only drafted one CB as early as the 3rd round. Think the failure to use premium picks could be it?
