I doubt it happens, but wouldn't that be special.

What Snead stated is something I did not take into consideration.

He stated that Aaron probably would be doubtful to come back during the season due to his feeling that he didn't play the entire season and wouldn't be right to come back just for the end.

Aaron is an awesome dude and I could see that being a reason why he does not come back at all.

I hope for Donald's sake he does not try to come back. It sucks when you come back, and your time has passed because you are just not the same as you once were. It can be really hard on you mentally. Donald needs to stay retired and enjoy the money he earned.

I get what you’re trying to say, but I think we can all agree that Donald was not anywhere close to that stage of his career. He ended it when he still had something left in the tank. I’m basing that on watching him play last season.

Last year he may not have had the stats but dammit he was double and triple teamed on almost every play and I believe I saw play where he was quadruple teamed

As much as I'd love AD back, I can't stand when players retire and unretire. I believe he is better than that.

That and held. a LOT.

I’m a homer and I’m biased but I would love for someone to put together film focused entirely on Donald for a full game. And then put together film on each of the DTs of the opponent. And objectively determining if any blatant holding calls were missed using the same criteria of blatant for both Donald and the opponent days. If it’s the same or similar I’ll accept its just part of the game. But I have a strong suspicion it isn’t close to evenly called.

Sounds to me like the Rams are handling it just right.

Giving AD plenty of space and respect and not pressuring him in any way.

But when asked a direct question-- would you want him back?-- they answer honestly and say of course.

Rams organization is smart and classy. The envy of the league.

(As opposed to dumb and clueless and unprincipled in the early 90's... thank God those days are over)

I would take AD back with open arms!!!!

So would all the players on the Rams!!!!

Around the halfway point of the season would be a cutoff time.

AD played quicker than normal linemen; I think just slowing down the film would reveal a lot about what refs regularly missed.

This is why I love the Les interviews. He sort of spills whatever he's thinking. McVay never does that, he's far more disciplined in not giving up shit.

I would think that if there are any second thoughts going on in AD's cranium we'll see him added to the PS. And in this case AD would be a third down rusher on the interior of the DL, which is what he was probably slated to be this year, and probably why he hung 'em up. But it wouldn't be so bad to rush the passer for three or four games on the way to another title.

Also not one guy in that DL room would complain about it. They'd get to play with AD. Rules go out the window with guys like him.

AD has already said he is done.

Plus how would we pay him?

If it were that simple then why is Snead talking about the possibility?

The contract was adjusted to make such a return possible (at least in theory). If not, then AD gets a very generous pay out

If Weddle could do it (workout warrior), Donald could do it.

When Weddle retired many many here were calling him past his prime and a shell of his former self.

AD was neither of those and even close to those.

Average Fans and Rams fans get caught up with the mindless dribble of the media and half ass fantasy whatever with stats. AD will never have stats again. He literally get's double and triple teamed 95% of a game. He's stated himself multiple times that all the attention and double/triple teams is the main factor that wore down on him that made it not worth the offseason shit etc.

The part where AD's premier participation on the DL is now, he is a force multiplier as in he takes up so much attention that everybody else is guaranteed a 1v1 and helping the LB's not get second leveled or as effectively second leveled.

Now we have competent talent on the DL once again, his impact on a playoff run can not be understated.

This was obvious the moment they announced how they changed up his contract for this possibility of his late season return if they can talk him into it.
