Hi All.

I was a Rams season ticket holder all years at Anaheim, then visited St. Louis for some games. I moved to Arizona 6 years ago.

I bought tickets to drive out to the Rams v. Ravens game Monday night. I haven't been to the Coliseum for decades, way back for Trojan games.

I am bringing my wife, Dad and kids...seven of us in total.

I was just wondering what the atmosphere in the crowd has been like lately. In other words, should we feel safe attending a Monday Night game in LA?

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Knowing the LA scene you'll get a good amount of Ravens fans. But I am sure you'll have a great time and if our defense continues what it has been doing you might witness a huge upset who knows. (y)

Upadate. My brother and his family is going now, so 11 of us will be there.

Does anyone from ROD tailgate before the games still? If so, where do you guys hang out?

We will be there. We have made all the games this year. You will be safe for sure and I would recommend setting up a couple suburbans and splitting the cost. We used to tailgate every game but it got to be too much work. Right next to the new soccer stadium is "The Fields" which is awesome for eats and drinks. Also the gates open at 3pm and you can hit the Corona Beach club and food trucks right to the right of the gate 1 entry.

We have a buddy who rents a suburban every game and we pitch in. He will meet us after the game in the Chevron parking lot at the corner of MLK and Figueroa. Last night he wasn't there and we had to do the uber thing. After the game for a normal $17 ride it was surging at $80!!! So we waited about an hour having a beer at the fields. The price dropped down to $25 and we were outta there.

As far as civility this year has been fine. Roughest fans are the Eagle fans, they're obnoxious AF. I don't expect a huge Ravens contingent.

Went to the Saints game.
Concert the night before the Uber with surge from the Queen Mary to right by the Colusium was $150.

My favorite Coliseum moment from when I went earlier this year was the kid who couldn’t have been older than 11 or 12 selling beer out of a cooler outside the stadium.

Was that the saints game? We parked on 40th and there was a kid selling beer at the corner.
Yes after the game. On the side of the stadium by the museum.
Right in full view of police.
But hey, things like business licenses, taxes and tickets only apply to those born here.
Still, I do like the kids hustle.

I’m a boomer that is not used to being around folks who use the f-bomb in casual conversation, other than with my golf buddies, when there are no women and kids around.
I’ll grant that it’s probably generational.

You'll hear plenty of f-bombs.

But otherwise there were no issues and my wife and I were fine and enjoyed the night, the atmosphere and the game, even with Bear fans in our section, who were generally well behaved.

Any advice on parking? Should I buy a parking pass on Stubhub, or just wing it and look for parking signs when I get there. Stubhub has passes for $65 and up.

Or take one of the bus lines. If heading from South of the Coliseum take the silver line. Did that in 2016, very reliable.

I'm parking in a driveway on 40th or 39th street. Charged us $40, as soon as we got out to the truck they cleared the driveway and we were on our way.

What neighborhood are you coming from? I would recommend parking at a train station with parking available and taking the train in and out. Saves you money and the hassle.
I'm driving in straight from Phoenix, right to the game. (After, I'm gonna visit family in OC for the week.)

I am there with you @Ramlock, being similar myself, although technically GenX. I don’t judge anyone who uses profanity, because I do think it quite often, but not a big user in my everyday vocabulary.

If I were to really think about it.. a big reason I’ve stayed this way is because I can’t afford to slip up at work and use it in most of the settings I work.

:censored:

But, I do think it might be our age group as well.
