Why do I get the same feeling about Puka as I did with Cooper his rookie season?

I feel Puka Kupp this season. Just saying it now...

I feel your enthusiasm ..... however, he did miss about 5 games over the past 2 seasons and had to bow out of the Senior Bowl practices after just 1 day. I would like to see him come out of the preseason completely healthy and then I will start banging his drum.

Yeah I've tried to keep myself grounded on this player but after hearing nothing but rave reviews since OTA and seeing highlights of those soft hands I now have sky high expectations. Dammit.

I hope so but Kupp was a high 3rd round pick (#69), while Nacua was the final pick in the 5th round (#177).

I haven't seen a receiver have this good of a camp since Spruce, but to be fair, look at Spruce's competition compared to Pukas. Puka is balling out.
That’s true but I’m holding my being cautiously optimistic. I think I heard similar praise for Jefferson in his rookie training camp. Kupp was lightning in a bottle but if you look back at his college career ALL 4 years it’s no surprise.

Puka does not look like a rookie out there, he is smooth in his routes and attacks the ball with strong hands. He may not replace Kupp, but he will make the loss hurt less when Kupp does decide to hang them up. Not that I expect that any time soon.

Spruce was on a bad team w bad coaches. Didn't he have have the fumblitis?

Anyways, if Puka can truly learn and not have the rookie jitters he's in for a big career

If Puka can stay healthy, he'll be a solid contributor. Only reason he wasn't drafted as high was because of his injury history.

I was calling Kupp a poor-man's Edelman back then.

Wonder if Puka could become the poor-man's Kupp...

I’m trying to hold myself together with Puka and Kobie Turner. I have a good feeling both are going to be above average players , maybe slightly better.
