This is a dangerous question to ask (having not made the playoffs yet), but seeing as it might become irrelevant after week 17, the time to weigh in is now.

If things go really well, we'd face three of them in the playoffs, but who would you want in the WC round?

I think Detroit is the obvious answer, weather in Philly could be nasty

Just not Dallas. SF is also probably a loss but I think Dallas is more certain, just in the matchup side of things. So I'd rank them...

1. Detroit (best matchup i.e. a shootout).
2. Philly (not playing well and reasonable matchup i.e. we have a reasonable shot).
3. SF (they don't want to see us but for myself the chance to skull fuck them is exhilarating).
4. Dallas (worst matchup of likely first round opponents).

I didn't add Dallas because the Eagles seem unlikely to lose another (AZ and NYG left) but it's possible. I'll add them to the poll.

Without weather as a concern, I'd have them ranked Detroit, Philly, Dallas, SF - I'd swap Dallas and Philly due to weather though. I think our chances against the Cowboys and Eagles is similar - our offense would put up points now, and then we see if we get some lucky bounces on defense.

But agreed on Detroit. The way that defense is playing, they wouldn't stop us a single time. I think we win that game even though they would put up a ton of points on our defense.

beating the giant's 1st, the 9ers 2nd, and then any team up because by then we would be feared, and Destiney will take its course and we keep winning! think about it. the worst Superbowl hangover in history followed by the all-rookie rebuild team off to a horrible start but.... turning it around after their bye and going all the way to the Superbowl. what a story! Go rams!

niners. not even close. pressure is on them. the energy leading up to the game will rival the nfc championship. if the rams lose, so be it, we're playing with house money. but if the rams win, it'll be a game that fans remember for decades. and the media will go wild with mcvay v shanahan playoff vs reg season records. what a sweet nugget to lob over around niner fans.

lions will be a non-stop contrived goff v mcvay/stafford narrative. i'm routing for the lions to earn the first-round bye.

If the Rams win the WC game and end up the Divisional round against Detroit, I have no doubt we'll be playing for the NFC championship the next week.

I don't think the Ram's offense can currently be stopped, way too diverse. We've proven that against Cleveland and Baltimore. They can put up 30 against any team in the playoffs.

Tough to say. I'd vote Dallas because even though we don't match up well on paper, they are regressing. Hurts' running is always hard to deal with. I like Goff, so I hope they get a bye. SF is tougher than Dallas in my book. So...Dallas.

Not the same team that played Dallas. Stafford is healthy and in the zone and the run game is working.

I am well aware of how much better our team is. Dallas is still our worst matchup.

I'm voting Lions. I think they are our best match up and in a dome. It would also honestly be sweet to have Stafford come in and take them out of the playoffs. Lions have one of the worst pass defenses in the league. I think we could feast.

We could but we'd also want to ram it right down their throats with the run game. We play much better with balance.
