This is the perfect time to share a pet peeve of mine since a) I'm not a Wolford fan, and b) it didn't impact Rams chances of making playoffs.

Here it is: How can the helmet to the face of Wolford not get called (or even mentioned by the announcers), while the "potentially flagrant" call in the secondary against the Rams gets penalized and discussed ad nauseum?

The league is supposed to watch out for QBs, yet refs and broadcast crew ignored the hit on Wolford. While the penalty against the Rams was only caused because the receiver bobbled the ball and dipped his head before contact. When the defender made the tackle, he was aiming for the dude's torso...

How can we possibly have a 10 minute discussion about whether this "obvious" penalty should be flagrant or not and whether there will be a fine? While the backup QB playing a position the league has gone out of its way to protect (and in for the billion dollar QB who is out due to concussion and spine issues) not only doesn't get a penalty, but nobody on the broadcast even points it out???

I continue to be baffled by shit like this.

It's because we were 3-8 (now 3-9)

Don't expect the Rams to get many calls go their way except in blow outs with the Rams on the losing end

And don't tell me this doesn't happen - I have seen too many losing teams get the short end of referee calls whereas Tom Brady (ALWAYS) got the call in his favor (except for the one time in the Ram playoff game where he bragged about getting calls from the Referees).

Only the elite QB’s get those calls. Wolford is a nobody in the eyes of the refs. It’s not a league the protects ALL QB’s just the ones that bring the ratings. And its irks me as well ‘69.

Yeah, the stadium was pissed and full on booing the non call there. It was utterly ridiculous and would have absolutely helped us have a chance to win.

My pet peeve is these announcers talking about how bad the Rams have played fresh off the superbowl. Sorry, this isn't even remotely close to the Rams team that played in the SB. Take the injuries away and we are firmly in first place in the NFC West with a clear path to locking up the division.

Missed call by the referee. You have seven officials on field. The referee had one responsibility, the QB. No reason to take your eyes off and miss a safety foul.

LOL, you mean the injuries to the borderline BUMS, Noteboom, Edwards, Shelton? Okay, keep telling yourself that. By the way, Rams were 3-5 before Stafford, Kupp or Donald ever got injured.

Doesn’t get much more nobody than the scrub RB who got the call.

The only way to stop that is for Kronke to get loud about it with his considerable position in the owners group. If he doesn’t raise hell, nothing will happen.

Hell - the seabags inserted a 12th man onto the field, mid-play a week or two ago - and no ref saw it - or called it.

Youy call that offiiciating? Do they actually pay these refs - or is this pro bono work for them?? :zany1:

We were 3-1 when we had to insert both Evans and Kolone into the starting line-up and that's when our season went to pot

Those two guys account for 90% of everything that happened to the Rams this year.

Evans got Stafford hurt and Kolone could not run block worth a shit. And then Wolford came in and got Kupp hurt

Okay 2-1 when Evans and Kolone started - I messed up one game - big whoop

You could be a little more professional about your statement

And you could try making statements more with your head than your heart. Injuries are not to blame for this year. Poor roster construction and game planning and a God-Awful Defensive Coordinator are. McVay takes most of the blame.

Brooklyn seems like a bit of an Agitator but in this case, he may have done you a favor when he called you 'Johnny'.

Johnny Tano would be a great Forum-handle. Think about it.

Really? Injuries are not to blame for this lost year? Wow!!

We have used 13 different OL this year and two of them were Evans and Kolone who should not even be remotely in anyone's line up.

I will have to disagree with you vehemently on this point.

And this conversation is done. Because there is no way you and I will ever be able to see anything remotely close to either's point of view since we are clearly on the opposite side of the spectrum.

EDIT

Sigh - I thought it was mild since 99.9999999999999% of the people would probably agree with my edited statement lol

It would be like a far left wing democrat and a far right republican trying to agree on a budget. It ain't happening.
3-5 THREE AND FIVE, with Donald, Stafford and Kupp. Crap Offensive line to begin with DOESN'T get a pass.
