Some posters have wondered why we don't have clean, relaxing blowout wins anymore. That is no longer our identity.

We are a team that gambles and take chances, but more importantly, knows how to close out games.

We have superstars that know how to make plays, and in the middle of the game, they are going to take chances. Jalen is going to bite, Aaron may leave his gap for a sack, Stafford is going to force the ball in tight windows. There is going to adversity, and we're going to scratch our heads wondering why.

But when it counts, Aaron is getting that sack, Stafford and Kupp are going to drive the ball down the field. Jalen will get that clutch INT or pass break up.

That's how we won in the playoffs and that's how we're going to continue winning games.

Exactly, it's how Morris has played this defense from the beginning. Keep everything in front of it and let your playmakers make plays. And it's worked much to the dismay of some. The time of constant blowouts in the NFL is gone. There's hardly any blowouts week to week. There were a few yesterday but overall most games scores stay within one or two scores for most of it and almost every game comes down to the last half of the fourth quarter. Plus, we play one of, if not thee, hardest schedule in the NFL this season. Every week is going to be a dogfight but this team has proven it's capable.

Having said that, if it wasn't for hugely inopportune fumbles or special teams miscues we would have probably blown out the Cards and Falcons.

Turning the ball over late in games seems to be something the Rams do way too often. Several games last season and the beginning of this season. They're making it their identity whether they like it or not.

It's always going to be the goal to get to that level where they are balanced run/pass because when a McVay offense has balance the defense they're facing is fucked. Stopping this team when they have a run game is a nightmare.

But also if you don't get any heat on Stafford you're fucked. Because with time and our wideouts yardage is gonna happen.

The area we need to improve most is the redzone. Going off memory the last good redzone offense we had was with Gurley in the backfield and that's not a coincidence. To me what's really important is aligning things so that this unit will be able to handle the top defenses they face in the playoffs, where they are going to include the top defensive fronts from a given season.

I don't expect the type of run game that can dictate to even the best defenses. Just one that those best defenses know they have to do the work to shut down. That keeps them from just dialing up heat on our aging QB.

I would have to disagree McVay doesn’t gamble and take chances he is one of the most conservative coaches in the NFL with his play calling on offense

Yes, the scheme changes year to year, but we've been executing the same way since at least the end of the 2021 regular season.
