The St. Louis Rams are the most Auburn of all the teams in the NFL. With each NFL team carrying 90 players on its preseason roster as it prepares for training camp in about a month, the Rams have four former Auburn standouts. The Tigers on the Rams are linebacker Daren Bates, wide receiver Emory Blake, running back Tre Mason and offensive lineman Greg Robinson.
In all, 30 former Auburn players are listed on current NFL rosters. The Oakland Raiders have three of them -- cornerback Carlos Rogers, defensive tackle Pat Sims and cornerback Neiko Thorpe.
Auburn has been most prolific in the production of cornerbacks. Six former Tigers are NFL cornerbacks. Seventeen of the 30 Auburn players play on the defensive side of the ball. On offensive, five of the players are linemen - three guards and two tackles.
The Auburn players in the NFL include:
St. Louis Rams: Daren Bates, linebacker; Emory Blake, wide receiver; Tre Mason, running back; Greg Robinson, guard
