Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey was fined $15,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct in last weekend’s NFC Championship game against the 49ers, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Ramsey was not flagged on the play but did express anger toward 49ers kicker Robbie Gould following a field goal. Ramsey got in the face of Gould, leading to players and officials breaking the two away from one another.

After yelling at Gould and the officials, Ramsey chucked his helmet.

As the NFL has ramped up their tendency to crack down on penalties and deliver fines, this isn't Ramsey's first time he's been hit with a fine by the league this season.

In Week 13, Ramsey took a hit to the wallet then too, receiving a fine by the NFL of $10,300 in part of the league's taunting crackdown.

Meanwhile, Ramsey wasn't the only Rams player fined in the NFC title game. The NFL also docked wide receiver Ben Skowronek for an illegal hit worth $4,000.

Nothing on Warner or Ward for their cheap shots.

There is no way this can be true. NOTHING on Warner for that shot on Stafford, yet you fine Ramsey? That has got to be a mistake. Even the NFL isn't this dumb.

I think Gould should have been fined as well.

What better way to instigate than kicking over the heads of unprotected cheerleaders and players. That shit is bush league and kudos to Ramsey for calling him out on it. That dipshit Gould couldn’t kick in the other direction?

That scumbag Joe Buck could barely contain his glee talking about Goulds antics. I wonder if he would think it was so cute if Gay was kicking over 49er cheerleaders and shanked one in their skull.

Rams need to file some sort of protest with the league office over the no-fine for Warner. This is beyond bullshit.

I hope to God someone takes him out with a cheap shot next year, he deserves it.

I saw Ben's and thought that was an easy flag. He tboned the guy in the ear hole. How warner doesn't get fined is ridiculous. I mean, the penalty was so blatant that the guy apologized post game but even with the clear video and announcers agreeing on the clearly flagrant foul, there is no league action.

I thought the Jimmy Ward hit on OBJ shoulda absolutely resulted in the penalty and fine. Are we to believe that was not intentional? OBJ went down to protect himself and Ward made himself a projectile leading with the helmet. That was a textbook example of what not to do if you're following the rules of player safety. The Warner things is just mind boggling. He likely had every intention of taking Stafford out of the game. I'll bet he was surprised as anyone when there was no flag. And extremely surprised there was no fine.

That's why he apologized first.

Unreal.

I regard the 49ers organization as lower than snake shit.

Me too. On my disgusting people scale I would put lawyers above 49er people.

(Sorry Avenger Ram wherever you are. I'm referring the ambulance chaser types.) :sunglasses:

So there’s a serious violation. Theres indisputable video evidence of a serious violation. Theres a confession to the serious violation. There’s flags and fines galore for much less serious violations. The ONLY explanation is the NFL is contemplating how far they are willing to go in response to this serious violation. Suspension for 4 games? Suspension for more? There is no way this goes away after the Super Bowl so they better be prepared for an appropriate response. What did Myles Garrett get for swinging his helmet at a QB?

I am not sure that I even rate Gould in my top 5 of kickers list from this year.

He is erratic as fuck, but I still would take Zeurlein in crunch time. Tucker being #1 and Zeurlein #2

Tucker is awesome. And Greg the Leg will always be cherished for that game winner in the 2018 NFCC game! Gould - I hope you retire this season!

Or the Niners. What would they say if Gay did that to them? What a passive aggressive prick.
