Jamarr Chase is going to get paid. Much more than Jefferson.

The Bengals probably only saw it as a cash saving for this season. They'll take the extra hit on the per year amount for delaying the extension but they saved $30m in cash this year. It will be bigger then the extra amount they will pay for the extension.

I remember that happening to the Rams against the Vikings back in 85'. For you other old heads out there maybe you recall the Rams starting out 7-0 or maybe it was 6-0, then lost 5 straight.

One loss was in Minnesota when late in the game they blocked a punt, but it was picked up by the Vikings and the guy ran for a 1st down. I believe they went on to kick a game winning FG or kicked one to put the game away. I forget all the details, but it sucked. I remember listening to it on CBS Radio.

Of course they went on to win out after dropping to 6-5. At 11-5, they beat Dallas in the Dickerson gane, then lost in Chicago on the NFCCG. That was the "Duck to Passworth game" to quote one of Madden's comments in that gane, referring to a duck thrown by Brock to Duckworth.
