I worry we need more at LB and CB especially if you have Lake listed as a CB (I get you mean Star). I was hoping we would trade for another pick in the 4th to draft at CB like Cam Hart or Kyren Jackson - as we need some length and punch vs Seattle and other division foes. We have to bring back Witherspoon now, right?

Looking forward to seeing which FAs emerge following the draft as I expect some solid veterans to shake free at LB

What I love most about this roster is that most of these players are locked up for the next few years, so they'll have continuity, continued growth and opportunities to supplement the roster with a couple of big free agent signings. They've opened up 3-year window to try to win a championship or two and are primed to put the pedal to the metal and really go for it.

I love this draft by the Rams; however, I was hoping that they would make a move to address the ILBer room. Jones is top notch, but I believe the other two are 2nd tier.

Crazy to think our starting front 7 are likely to all be on rookie contracts except for the guy next to Ernest Jones but that could change too with Speight.

I have to admit I was excited to learn that the Rams signed Omar Speights from Oregon State as an UDFA. Dude can flat out upgrade the position if paired with Jones.

24 drafted rookies in 2 years! Plus a UDFA long snapper. That is potentially 25 of 53 players nearly 50 percent of the roster acquired in just a 2 year span. The Ram defense is really young especially in the front 7.

I do think one of either Mathis or Hampton could get pushed off the roster if the Rams opt to only keep 5 edge on the final 53 (Maybe they can move Hampton inside). Also Keir Thomas now looks like a roster long shot IMO.

I think many of this years UDFA's along with last year's PS guys on reserve future contracts are going to have a hard time making the final 53 unless there some major are injuries.

Final Note: After the draft our Rams just had, I do no see much room/need for any post June vet FA additions.

Yea and I think we all hope that Speights earns a spot. I just included hold overs and "likely to make the roster" guys - but I agree that Hampton/Mathis/Rozeboom/Hummel/Reeder/Kendrick/THT/Taylor on defense and then the bottom of the RBs and WRs are all on the bubble.

We went from young team with holes to a solid roster. These guys (McSnead) are smart, aggressive and driven. I wouldn't be surprised if we picked up a couple of lower round picks via trades for some guys who won't make the roster.

Of the group maybe they like what they've seen from CB Cameron McCutcheon & LB Olakunie Fatukasi so far?
Maybe they really might have a shot due to the limited acquisitions at their positions?

I'm gonna guess the add a little more depth once the June cuts happen. Witherspoon seems like a great depth fit if he doesn't find a buyer before camp.
