Several members on various messages board forums and NFL media expert talking heads have given the impression that the Rams are one and done playoff contenders.

It seems like some in that group believe the Rams might win their first playoff game but they are just a little bit too flawed to run the table when the single elimination tournament begins in January.

Those that are still on the fence need to see how the Rams perform against the Cardinals and 49ers before they make their final predictions.

I have watched the Bears and Eagles games several times and even though they were painful to watch outcomes, I feel the same as I did 3 weeks ago.

To me, the Rams are still the best team in the NFL but it's by a very tiny slim margin.

Should they lose to either Arizona or the San Francisco in these last two weeks, I will eat my words and recognize that I don't know this team as well as I think I do.

Hope you are right man....I need to see a Rams team that's legit this week, regardless if Gurley is in or not. I need to see that Oline do its job, and I hope that they do. If they do, we will see the Goff we remember from before the Chiefs game.

What's BS is passive aggressive whining about perceived whiners. DM is your friend.

I'm not trying to be right @LoyalRam. As I stated in the post.... should they lose to either Arizona or or San Francisco in these last two weeks, I will eat my words and recognize that I don't know the pulse of this team as well as I think I do.

I don't see the gloom and doom that tons of prognosticators have after watching the last 2 games. I make no guarantees and I'm just another fan that puts too much of his free time following this team since I was a young lad.

I've been wrong before and I wouldn't bet my life savings on my perception. I will say that I have only bet the Rams to win the SB 2 times in my life. The 1999 season and this 2018 season.

I know it means nothing just because I got lucky in 1999 but I'm not your typical Rams homer.

If they lose one of these last 2 games, I won't expect them to run the table. If they don't win by double digits in these last two games, I will have doubts. That being said, I'm not going to fret about how much they win by if they finish the season with two victories.

There are many fans/NFL pundits worried by the play of our field general. He's been showing flashes of his 2016 season in the last few games. They have good arguments by what they've seen but I see through a different kaleidoscope.

Maybe I'm deceived and this is what we can expect in the playoffs. I don't believe it until I see it.

When did any comment that isn't overly harsh and direct and by specific name become "passive aggressive"?

Man, that makes for a narrow path to walk. Either I have to come straight at every single person I disagree with or just keep my opinion to myself.

This is a weird time to be alive.

This just in. Expert consensus is the Chargers are likely to be one and done in the playoffs. This is based off their abysmal first half outing against the Ravens. Ravens 6 - Chargers 3. Rivers - 57 yds passing/1 Int and Gordon - 15 yds rushing in the 1st half against the Ravens.

I'll say this @Florida_Ram . I don't know about pulse of the team but I still believe. I have watched probably more NFL lately than at any other time in the last few years. I don't see a team that has looked polished and I see a lot that have poor records looking pretty good right now. This team has talent, it has a very good brain truss, and it seems that we have been very conservative lately. Even if we lose one of these next two, I will go into the playoffs thinking we will win.

Cheers to you though I really thought this was going a totally different direction based on the title.

You should maybe try to find a board with "strong dick" member posts that you like!

Look people. You can be a devout Rams Fan and still be very worried about whats transpired the last 3 weeks.
I've been a loyal Rams Fan for 43 years, but I'm very worried about the upcoming playoffs.
1st and foremost I'm worried the damn Bears are gonna slip into the #2 seed.

That doesn't make me a whiner or a gloom and doomer. That makes me a guy that is full of emotion for his team.
It's stupid to see a sink giving signs of starting to sink and then just say "It's no sinking. It'll stay afloat because I want it to stay afloat."

McVay and Wade REALLY need to change something up and do something drastically different ... or we're in big trouble in the playoffs. ESPECIALLY if we have to go to Chicago and/or New Orleans.

So any Ram fan would be concerned with the recent play of Goff and the Rams offense. There will be many watchful eyes on how they perform against the Cards. On the other hand, we are seeing recent struggles by a number of teams considered to be 2018 elite. Brees had a terrible game against the Cowboys and very average games against TB/Carolina. Rivers had a home game tonight against a very good Ravens defense that was on par with Goff's away game against a very good Bears defense/in very cold weather. Have faith Rams fans - the Rams have been very resilient this year!

Maybe so, but maybe chill guy needs to go back to his or her safe place.

Gosh, I hope that wasn’t too harsh.

Yeah those chill ratings... another harsh and scary thing that evidently could push someone to their "safe space" !

Despite the perception of some, constructive criticism of our team on this board is not frowned upon. Having said that...if negativity and that doom n gloom mentality is all you bring to the table in here...you won't fit in on this board and won't last either. Brooding negativity also includes those being a self proclaimed "realist." That's not an excuse to stray from the culture here.

The passions and moment to moment emotions of the GDT are given more leeway but it also is not an excuse to stray from our culture here. If you don't like it or agree with it there are plenty of other discussion boards out there to choose from.

ROD's culture is about fandom, having fun, sharing knowledge, opinions.... and a refuge from the "realists" and not-so-clever trolls that are free to spew garbage on other Rams boards.

That's just how it is here and it's not going to change no matter how successful or unsuccessful the Rams may be.

Yeah offenses seem to be trending down a lot lately.

I think this week is a huge reset.

For those that thought the Rams were just a big fraud and are going to lay down, they might be missing a few teeth this weekend.
