Why can I not join the user geek forum - insufficient privileges?

I click the join forum button - and nothing happens.
But trust me, with thes issues, it's invariably operator error.
I'll try again.

This happened to me. For some reason when I clicked "join forum" while I was at work nothing happened. When I got home and did the same thing it allowed me to join.

I use Chrome at both home and work, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Also, I'm not even seeing the user created forums anymore on the navigation page. Have they been moved?
