Jeff Fisher at Tennessee

I think Jeff Fisher did a great job in Tennessee. His owner was very eccentric. His quarterbacks were at best average. He was also in a tough division. Despite this his team was solid year in and year out. His first year in St Louis was very successful. The Rams organization with a great owner and general manager and Jeff Fisher, the future looks great.

I'm in total agreement. This team looks like it become great for a long haul. I mean they could win Superbowls (plural) with the talent they are accumulating.

He also had to deal with moving and that club went through MAJOR cap hell for a 2 season span. They cut so many players it was a mess.

I personally think the time away may have/will make Fisher a better coach. He did a good job in Tenny featuring George, McNair, and their talents before trying to make something of V Young and taking advantage of a couple of special C. Johnson rushing seasons.

With that said, I think he came into this situation with an overhauled roster, new staff, and a year off. I personally think he was relatively conservative but based on having a chance to see things like the Pistol/Read-React, getting to know and chose his players for another year, and having more cohesion with his staff I think you will see someone more "cutting edge" than some of us would have thought.

I honestly think you are going to see some more bold moves than we saw last season and maybe don't expect from someone like Fisher

I went through and analyzed his down years, and there are very good reasons for them. But the one thing that stood out to me was how his teams played when they were decimated with injuries or going through cap hell and fielding less than stellar rosters.

I mean they REALLY played hard, and he got the most out of those players.

The one anomaly that I've seen, and maybe it's a monkey on his back that continues to this day, is that he can't seem to put Belichick out of his misery. In fact, the majority of those games were really bad for Fisher. I'd like to see his SB win here come against the patriots - and for more than one reason.

Not only Fish, it's the allstar staff of coaches he brought in, along with Snead. Stan believes in him and is helping him make all the moves without question. Pair all this with having Kevin Demoff as the CEO and the Rams are in good hands for a long time.
