This will not be a "real" fight. It'll be a nice payday for Tyson, and another attempt to legitimize Paul. I dislike him, but he understands his marketability. Even his haters will tune in hoping he gets his ass kicked.
Not anymore...for two reasons...
1) This is a real fight, not an exhibition. It will go on their actual records.
2) Unlike the Roy Jones fight where he and Tyson seemed to have a gentleman's agreement not to go headhunting (also, it was an exhibition), Tyson has no deal with Jake Paul. And then... Jake Paul says this... "I'm going go bury him next to his daughter"
Ummm, WTF?
Mike Tyson's daughter passed at 4 years old. As someone who's also lost a child, you can't know or even extrapolate what that feels like or estimate how it would change you. While there has been some doubt about whether Jake Paul said it, his apology video seems to confirm it.
Thing is, Mike Tyson doesn't forget. People think he's a meathead because of his lisp and honestly, being a pretty bad person when he was young (I mean pre-adult specifically), but he can recount the history of boxing from memory like few others... ever. He is legit a boxing history encyclopedia and knows the sport like few others ever have in the history of the sport. It's really something else to hear him talk about the old days of boxing like in the 20s and 30s or even pre-1900.
Anyway, Jake Paul made the fatal error of not only invoking Tyson's dead daughter, but using her to talk shit
Jake Paul is gonna find out the hard way why that's a bad idea.
