The guy is ready to be a starter! He's a bigger target...and he's tough. Reynolds needs to be on the field more. Especially in th and s Dallas game.
IT'S TIME!!!
IT'S TIME!!!
Not knocking Cooks at all. Even though he screwed up big time against Seattle costing Goff an int. There are many sets of 3 or 4 WRs. I'm simply making the point to target Reynolds more. Many ways to do that...slot WR or WR1 or 2....JUST DO IT...even more than is happening now!Brandon Cooks last I checked was a human and was injured. He’s back and the team is being cautious. But how does his contract effect anything on the field this year? And Reynolds is getting increased targets. Why does this thread even exist? To promote what is already happening or to hammer Cooks contract.
Man you guys are tough on our Rams this year. Why? I have no f’ing clue.
I hope Cooks goes off next week
Cooks is still an awesome receiver. But let's be honest, there's a reason he was traded from two great offenses before he landed in LA. Dude is small, and I mean smaller than most receivers. Reynolds targets are increasing regardless. But Reynolds was known for being a vertical threat coming out of college. It is not unreasonable to change parts on a car if one isn't as efficient as the others.Brandon Cooks last I checked was a human and was injured. He’s back and the team is being cautious. Bob Woods has done it on occasion and I believe is capable.Cooks takes the top off the defense, something I don't think Reynolds has shown to do as well. Even if Cooks isn't getting the targets, hes opening things up for the receivers underneath.
Once teams start biting on the underneath stuff again, Cooks will get his. Watch for it.

No I get that, just saying he can handle the deep route. He's usually on the intermediate route. He excels there, whereas I don't really want Cooks going across the middle.
Watch the Seattle game. On plenty occasions, Cooks traveled with a corner and the safety help over the top. This left Woods, Kupp, Higbee, etc open underneath.
Reynolds doesn't have Cooks speed but he's no slouch either and he has a bigger catch radius. Then there's 50/50 balls...he has height and length.Cooks takes the top off the defense, something I don't think Reynolds has shown to do as well. thing is Cooks is a luxury. We could have drafted a pure speed guy in the 3rd round instead of giving up a 1st and a ginormous contract. Honestly he is is the 3rd best receiver we have or maybe even 4th best after Reynolds. He cant go over the middle because of the concussions and has iffy hands and poor size. His speed is elite and thats all. He cant even return kicks.
He was more effective when Goff had time in the pocket to let the route develop or throw it deep. He’s not a bad receiver-he’s just limited. Kupp and Woods are much better short and intermediate targets not to mention we are using the tight ends way more now. Cooks still stretches the field so it makes it easier for other guys to get open, however we shouldnt be paying $16 mil/yr on a decoy. Maybe we can trade him for OBJ in the off-season lolNot sure you get the numbers Cooks has in his career if this is true. Cooks his elite speed and quickness. He has strong hands but limited catch radius. He is an excellent route runner, but has a limited route tree because he's a bit stiff in the hips.
Just saying.
