Or just weak for QBs'.

I used to love following the build-up to the draft and buying all the mags pre-internet, but my interest has waned recently.

Partly, I think, because we've had no first-rounders recently, but largely because I stopped watching college ball a few years ago.

So, none of the names means much to me and I'm wondering if this draft is as strong as usual but devoid of top QBs, or it's utter wank in other respects too?

Are there any players you would trade our first-rounders in 2031 and 2032 for?

In any case, I doubt I'll be staying up until stupid o'clock to watch with my NFL Pass.

It doesn't have a lot of top-end talent, especially at QB, from what I've read/heard.

But I've also read it's quite deep in several areas that are particularly beneficial to the Rams.

I think the top half of the 1st round is weaker than normal but after that it is pretty deep. So for depth I think it is a good draft but for top talent/studs I would say it is a weak year.

It isn't strong for QBs or guys you'd project as HoFers...

But it's DEEEEEP...

Just weak for QB. Imagine we have say three good QB prospects. Now those guys projected to go top 5 are depth after the QB picks and are in the 3 to 10 pick range. These edge guys are good players but they aren’t number 1 pick type guys, that makes the draft look bad. If you got Hutchinson at 5 it’s great, if you got him at 2 then it’s a question mark.

Think they said last year's draft was shallow but we seemed to do pretty well on the late round picks. So who knows really. But this draft has been routinely mentioned as one of the deeper ones we've had. Hopefully the Rams take full advantage here.

Yeah last year's draft had some guys who rewrote the elite lists at different positions in their rookie seasons. Not sure how much that will occur from this group.

But I will add that I think there's gonna be a team or two who find a QB among this group. We hear a lot of talk about the impact of COVID on the player totals but not much talk about what it did to the QBs who require time and reps to prepare and play well. I think this QB class is a bit stealthy due to that.

Also looking at the round 3 lists the CBs are something. They're always hard to look at due to no all-22 (only teams and important people get that shit) but the sheer number of lengthy cover types with different skill sets is almost dizzying.

And I love this TE class too as we get into round 3 range. There's some guys I am really excited about maybe being a surprise pick for us.

I think Malik will turn out good after him it’s meh but you could get a guy develop. I think there are some good edge wr and cb and a LT or two as well.

Malik played in a rudimentary offense.. but has some star traits & is really smart.

Will be interesting to watch.

Guess we’ll find out in 5 or 10 years if anyone bothers going back to look.

Not as much hype around QB but for the last year talking heads have been saying this is the Covid make up class. Lots of depth and good talent going late and I drafted.

There will undoubtedly be some guys from this draft making obscene money in a few years.

That's my point OS. You don't hear a lot of talk about how COVID fucked this class over. But as a group they are pretty raw and are going to need a little more coaching.

What I do like is there's some fucking dawgs among them. Guys with high end competitive drive. This is why I love Corral, besides that release he's got plus his arm strength. Not really an arm strength guy but I do highly prioritize guys with high competitive fire now. It's something that more and more I think back to Mike Martz's comments on QB needing to be the most competitive guy on the field and realize how right he was.

As others have said weak in regards to top tier QB’s but very good in most other positions. There will be good talent with our picks out to round 6 on alot positions more than likely.

Im excited to see if we pick up a few depth options at G/C or T, CB, and S. There is a gem in the late 3rd or 4th which is a Snead special I’ll make a post about soon.

Last year's draft was loaded. This was because of COVID the year before. You had a ton of guys that declared when maybe typically they would have stayed in college. The seniors this year are pretty bad. Basically last year had like 1.5x the good players and this year is mostly left overs.

It's a weak draft at the top. I don't see any one player who deserves to go top three. It's a very weak draft for franchise quarterbacks, unlike last year. But it's quite deep. Not as deep as last year, but we'll find good players late.

This year there are only about 16 true first round talents.. and none of the top guys would have been drafted in the top 5 of last year's draft. There is some solid depth though. Lots of 3rd round kinda guys.
