As pumped as I am - I'm STILL pissed at the Brockers call. WTF CAN you do now? I am SO sick of these refs LOOKING for ways to penalize us.
All this celebrating has made it hot in my house.

Disgusting call. Quinn's late FF for TD helped me get it out of my system though. As pumped as I am - I'm STILL pissed at the Brockers call. WTF CAN you do now? I am SO sick of these refs LOOKING for ways to penalize us.
That could have been a game changer!
Refs should be penalized for extreme blown calls like that!
Well then don't throw the flag if thats your angle on the play. Let the rest of your crew decide to either throw the flag or let it go. IDk who actually threw the flag on that play, but if it was Bogar and he didn't actually see where the body to body contact took place then dammit, keep the flag in your pocket. Let one of the other officials with a clear angle make the call. And there is the rub. They are graded every game. With the league being so paranoid about this stuff now with QBs and head injuried I bet you get graded more harshly for missing a head shot call than making a bad call on a clean hit. The biggest problem I see happening now is refs are anticipating hard hits or late hits. They have been so conditioned to throw that flag they are not going to let anything even border line go. From his perspective (I AM NOT defending Boger) from where he was standing I dont think he could tell whether Brockers got him in the chin or the shoulder as he head was on the other side of McCown. That flag would not have flown two years ago or even last year for that matter. This has nothing to do with the Rams getting bad calls, this is league wide and it is pathetic. It was a hard hit and in reality that is what the flag was for.
The new NFL.

its about 10* out here...wind chill down around 0..but plenty warm inside the house
was about 20 degrees warmer when I was steaming over the Brockers call
I understand the politics you're referring too.Bogar threw the flag.
I agree with what your saying, but, it isent going to change until the NFL changes what they are emphasizing (and grading officials on). That is not going to happen.
Better not fine him for that bs call! Review showed it to be a crappy call. If they do, Fish better throw a fit!
