I don't want Kareem Hunt

I just read a report that the Rams are possibly interested in trading for Kareem Hunt for a 3rd rounder. Cleveland has a bunch of RBs and Hunt is in his last year of his deal, but he was hurt most of last year and was the league leading RB in 2017.

It isn't like I don't like Hunt, but we have just under 10m in cap space we need to spend our money and draft picks wisely and not now. We need to see how the season progresses in terms of strengths and weaknesses and most obviously injuries. We needed Sony Michele last year, because we lost Akers at the bg of the season and Henderson was in and out of the lineup, Calais/Funk got hurt etc.

Personally there are 4 areas of more concern but none critical imo.

1. OLB + CB
2. IOL
3. Back up QB

There are only so many footballs to go around. When there is no need at this time to sign a RB why think about it.

Caveat - maybe it is just click bait but it didn't read like it.

What player(s) would be interested in bringing in?
IOL with Edwards, Allen, Bruss and Shelton is not terrible.
Shelton can provide depth at all three spots inside.
The T depth is also a concern.
Any ideas at backup QB that is out there?

Is he? That would make this make sense if true I guess. If Hendo is already struggling and with Kyren Williams already needing surgery (all though supposedly will be back full go by start of season but missing valuable practice as a rookie) it would make sense Les is putting out feelers. Hunt doesn't seem to fit the mold of players that the Rams have been bringing in though with his suspensions for being a woman beater.

If we add Hunt that would be a wow. Don't get me wrong, I'm rooting for Akers but Hunt is a legit ass top 5 RB on the right team. A combo of both Akers and Hunt would be awesome but I see it as highly unlikely to happen. Just my 2 cents.

The Rams should have gotten hint a few years ago when he was free. I don’t think McVay favors older runningbacks, over young guys, but zi think a healthy Hunt would be a great addition.

Browns have depth like a mofo at RB so it’ll make sense on their part, I still wish we had picked up Felton I. That draft for the cheap… or used the second, some other picks to trade up and get Williams like I called for when we got Tutu. Hopefully we can get Hunt on the cheap. (6th rounder) let’s go Les!

Dude what are you smoking? The Browns were 3rd in rushing last year and Hunt had 1,200 yards and 11TDs. There's zero chance they cut him. And I doubt they trade him too because they have no one behind Chubb in that scenario. He's only $4.8M against the cap, and if they get rid of him they're still hit with $3M in dead money. D’Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton? I wouldn’t expect casual NFL fans to not know of them. They are cheap and young and save 9 Million vs Hunt making that RB room 4 deep.

I’m very relaxed. A rumor is something from say Jourdan or Schefter or Rappaport talking about it. What I linked is journalists generating clicks saying hey wouldn’t it be neat if the Rams traded for a certain player! Link whatever anybody wants but this so far isn’t a rumor, also helps to link an article or clip when starting something like this so people can read or watch and become more involved.
