I know a lot of us follow our ex-Rams on the Lions staff and team. Looks like we have an opportunity to help them out this coming week into the playoffs!

I’m more than happy to rain in the Shithawks parade and wouldn’t mind seeing Rodgers not get in the playoffs with a lions win! Lol

Question is is if this scenario happens, Can the Lions do any damage in the playoffs?

Knocking Seahawks out of playoffs would be a small benefit to end of the season. And yes I think the Lions would be an absolute terror in the playoffs if they make it. The defense has found themselves enough to be respectable and there is no QB in the NFL who has been better than Goff the last half of the season. And that's not hyperbole, the dude has been on fire since week 10.

You’re right on the $$, psycho_x. It’s easy to be dismissive of Goff because he went to a bad team and the Rams won a SB with their QB, but when I watch him I’m reminded of how good of an arm he has. Legit, well above average NFL arm. They have a run game, a short game, and guys that are sneaky good downfield.
Sound familiar?

I’d love to see the lions in the playoffs.

Amon-ra St. Brown has 100 receptions! 1112 yards. Williams (994) and Swift (517) have 1511 yards and 20 TDs on the ground. And Goff has hit 10 different guys with TD passes!! St. Brown has 6, TEs Wright and Zystra have 4 each. Swift, Reynolds, Chark and the departed Hockenson have 3 each. Dude spreads the wealth around. They're #11 in rushing yards, #4 in passing yards; #3 in rushing TDs, #5 in passing TDs. That offense is legit. I wonder if he got on the cell and called the guys to ask for a little help!!! Nothing would be more satisfying, with the Rams out of it, than Goff beating Rodgers and getting into the postseason.

Honestly it's good for the Lions franchise to do something in general since they haven't been in the playoffs much. If they do, meh. I'm just mad we aren't there lol

I was going to make a separate thread on this topic but I'll post it here.

I am NOT going to root for the Detroit Lions. And it has nothing to do with Jared Goff, Brad Holmes, fans, the trade, or anything related to their organization.

It's because the Rams SB win has been all but brushed aside and folks are fappin over the Lions because of the fuckin draft pick. "Yeah Rams won last year but the Lions thank the Rams for giving them a top 5 draft pick this year hurr hurr hurr...what a fall from grace hurrr hurr hurr...they have no future hurr hurr hurrr!!!"

It's stupid and I'm so tired of reading/seeing that. The point and laugh at the Rams' fall and losing a draft pick over winning a SB is driving me crazy. Fuck that. The Rams are LA, and supposed to be the heels of the league, and damnit its high time to start acting like it.

That Lions defense is very questionable. I'll pull for them with the Goff connection. I don't root for the Hags or Packers.

We need to beat the Seahawks.

That would be a great finish!

100% agree.

Ill take a SB championship every day of the week and twice on Sunday vs a slim chance to make the playoffs......
I hope we beat Seattle after that I couldnt care less....

I am rooting for the Lions.

I could care less that the Lions have a possible top 5 pick this year. Irrelevant. We won the SB last year.

I don’t care what they say to the Rams record. They can say it while staring at the Lombardi and kissing the ring. I didn’t want Goff to leave. I’m happy with the decision now, but I’m also happy to see Goff playing well away from McVay, and putting to rest some of the talk that he was only a good QB with McVay in his ear. So for this final week and potentially into the playoffs, I’m also a Lions fan.

Funny - he played against Nick Foles. You can see why Fisher didn’t like him.

I liked Case & Foles as nice stop gap QB’s with good cap numbers.
I was more about moving on from Manmion or giving him a chance the following season. Keep building from the draft. There are good QB’s as an example this Purdy kid.
IMO The Rams should have had a good OC in place. Gurley was going to be a special RB.
—Didn’t like trading all those draft pick for Jared Goff. His contract I would have waited a season longer on both contracts.

The Goff trade I didn’t like because once again all those draft picks.
Now Stafford is here & I like Baker & wouldn’t mind getting those draft picks back. LOL!

Far fetched & Baker will actually get The Rams a comp pick & has helped The Rams get on the right track.

I’m cheering for Mcvay’s coaching tree, more than the players. Joe Berry vs . O’Connell was cool.

Walden with the SEAHAGs cs Rhe Rams. I guess ? Well Aaron Rogers is a HOF player.Could make a nice run.
Cinncy vs Chargers ? Would be an interesting match up ?

I cant get in to watching the playoffs unless I can have a rooting interest. The NFC is so tough this year because I just about hate every team that's in other than the Giants, who literally have no shot. Detroit would be fun to root for, they can score points. While I eventually came to grips with the trade for Stafford, we dont win last year without him, I could never understand the negativity towards Goff. He was very good for the Rams at times, and seemingly anything good was minimized while the bad (and there was plenty) seemed to get magnified

I also think that if Goff had Cooper Kupp in the Super Bowl, Stafford wouldn’t be here and Goff would have a ring. Stafford with no Kupp is a Super Bowl loss.

Anyone heard if there’s a chance Stafford and possibly even AD play this weekend?

Great posts.

Let's hope he and the Lions get in so we have a rooting interest. If not, it's the Giants or the Vikings (because of O'Connell) for me. Should be some pretty intersting games this weekend and though I realize the NFL wants viewership, scheduling the Green Bay / Detroit game so late favors Green Bay. Don't like that......
