The guy is too performative for me.

Talks like a tough guy with swag and comes across as desperate.

Prefer the intelligent genuine types that add insight rather then performative types to regurgitate the obvious.

Plus the Michelin tires comment, one and done for me.

Haven’t listen to it.I like Grudens energy, but yeah he is that Older Style Coaching..
Mcvay & Raheem got there start with him.He is a True Football guy.Makes me think though if Jay has anything to do with NFL teams ? He was some how connected to The Rams ???

I’ll call Jon entertaining & had a good session with Ty Simpson.Warner breaks him down in a totally different way.It gives a different perspective.

We’ll see what the effect of the Seahags not having Klint next seasons as there OC.There RB situation is going to be interesting as well.

The GREAT thing is ONE PLAYER on The RAMS will take care of the Hags Best weapon on offense. They should struggle against The RAMS for sure!! Trent McDuffie for a late 1st RD pick is going to be PRICELESS this Year.

he thinks the seahawks are gonna repeat???

i skipped ahead to the rams but could only sit thru about half of that...

his shtick acting like a tough guy gets old....

so we really didn't do enough to overcome the vaunted seahawks??... get outta here you old dinosaur...

even without miles, the rams retooling of the secondary put us as a lock to win it all barring injury..

it's all about the narrative and controversy, to get cliks...

i guess reality and facts don't matter... mcduffy and watson put us over the top... before we added miles...

shaking my mother fu(&ing head...:eyeroll::wow2:

go rams

These takes will only help motivate the Rams. Again preseason accolades don’t mean anything. Postseason accolades is what we want. But I gotta admit I’m not a big fan of Gruden. Just doesn’t seem authentic enough.

He just covered Seattle first as their due for being the last team standing last season. Best thing about Gruden is his consistency over time. His takes always look deeper than most talking heads, and he gets the important shit right, knows the staffs well, has a good grasp of the draft class, etc.

This division is gonna be a battleground again. Like I said this time last year, MacDonald is a quality coach who makes this the strongest group of coaches in the league. Right up there with the AFC West. Unfortunately for Seattle, though, the Rams loaded up big time on defense. And McVay with a strong defense is one rough matchup.

I'm hoping that the ram's identity is their defense. they need to score points also and I thinking they will, but a dominate defense that covers for off days or just plain dominates any time they play. that will be fun to watch. all the way to the super bowl. go rams!

He mostly was praising the fact that the NFC West is stacked and that the Shanny, McVay coaching tree is taking the NFL by storm. I agree that NFC West is going to be wicked competitive now that LaFleur gots the Cardinals.

I listened to the Hags and Rams. If you want a good overview of player movement going into the season, Gruden does a great job. He likes a lot of players from both teams. Amazing stat Kobie Turner is in the game. I have been noting how much time he missed in the Championship game. It made a big difference. Kruden mentioned it.

With Kobie Turner on the field during the 2025 season, the Los Angeles Rams generated a 43.2% pressure rate compared to 27.2% when he was off the field—a massive 15.9% on-off pressure rate differential that ranked second-largest among interior defensive linemen in the NFL

The football gods were against us. There are just certain players you can't win without. Turners loss probably cost us the game.

the punt muff not withstanding.

The Rams defense will have to win some games this year, even with the multiple offensive weapons. It's not likely Stafford has as effective year this year, and an injury or suspension or two will be a drag on the offense. So I can see games won 20-13, 17-10, etc this year. If so, you gotta love their SB chances.

He could pass for 4600 yards, with 43 TDs and 5 Ints and he won't be as effective as 2025. Still, you are 100% correct!!!! The defense is going to have to win some games this year......like they didn't last year. We should have beaten Atlanta, Carolina and Seattle (two more times) if our defense was better. We didn't and we were 12-5 instead of 15-2, the 1 seed and playing the Patriots for all the marbles. But this years D is supposed to be MUCH better. So perhaps things will work out?
