I'd rather sign Montgomery or Singletary in free agency. Or, hell, Pollard and Barkley are free agents this year.

No way. Nobody needs 30 yr old running backs. Especially 3 win loser teams like us right now. We need to start building for the future.

Pollard may end up being the cream of the crop and I wouldnt be surprised if the Cowboys cut Elliot and signed/franchised Pollard instead
Damien Harris, Jamal Williams & D'Ernest Johnson are guys I'd kick the tires on for sure

I'd sign Dickerson if he were willing. Anything to boost that RB room.

And yes, I'm talking for next season. I didn't realize Gordon was FA anyway...

No on Gordon.

Continue to play Akers to showcase him for a trade in the offseason.

Also give Kyren Williams snaps to get him more experience. We need Williams to step into a bigger role next year.

Go after a quality free agent RB in the off-season and draft another RB.

I'd rather draft the young man out of UCLA (and former Mich Wolverine).

Zach Carbonnet -- 6' 1" 225lbs and looks thicker.

We need a heavy hitter.

It doesn't matter who we have at RB as long as our offensive line personnel and scheme remain the same

I'd go for Sean Tucker first. He's got track speed, runs outside and inside, breaks a lot of tackles, almost never fumbles, etc. Only issues I have are his usage (he's basically Syracuse's entire offense), and his third down capabilities; he's not much of a pass-blocker at 5'10", 205 lbs., but he could be an excellent pass catcher given time. Still, if we're going for, say, David Montgomery to pair with Kyren Williams (and deal Akers for a pick), we'd need a home run hitter not named Darrell Henderson. Tucker definitely fits the mold.

Been saying this all season. Unfortunately, it went from hoping he falls to the third round, to PRAYING he falls to the third round.

He's just been too good this year to hope we get him.

It would be nice to have a big back with speed

The OL's biggest issues are health & scheme. So I think you can bring back the core of the group, add a few players, but then change the OL coaching staff & scheme.

Those changes could make a big difference next year.

I read a comment about having the benefit of a 3rd or 4th place schedule next year, so we could start out the season playing Carolina, Chicago and Houston, giving a healthy O line 3 games to gel.

I want a big back with speed. Say, somebody 6'1" 225 lbs, maybe from some Big12 school?

Use the draft picks for oline/d backs. Can add to the RB room with a vet FA. Will still have Akers and Williams.
