That relates to the cut option I'd imagine. If he is acting like a pretty princess the team might say fuck it.Cousins has a no trade clause.
He’s always done what’s best for him financially. No reason to think he’ll stop doing that.
He won’t let Falcons trade him unless it’s under his terms
There is no reason for him to do anything differently. if he wants to make the team better by giving up some salary for free agents, that's his call. He didn't make the Falcons pay him the contract he received and you know that if the Falcons could cut him and pay him nothing if they could, they would.Cousins has a no trade clause.

They're speculating on an off season cut not right now. And with the number of teams looking for a QB somebody is likely to trade for him.
He has 27.5 Million coming from Atlanta next season. Would have to believe he'll get a contract if he wants to play. Wondering if it will be similar to what the Steelers are paying Wilson???
ATL's front office butchered this signing along with drafting Penix in the first round IMO. I'm no Rheem fan, but the FO didn't do him any favors to start his stint there as HC.
I saw Penix and Nix play a couple games each last year and Nix stood out for me. He reminds me a bit of Baker Mayfield and just came across as the tougher of the 2.I don't know why drafting penix was a bad move. It was the smart move.
Giving an injured, mediocre qb that much money, especially the guaranteed amount, was definitely a bad move. But they needed a qb this year so I can't blame them too much.
At least they ensured if things went pear shaped with Cousins they were still set at QB.
