So I went to dinner with a SF fan friend and he said something about the Rams beating SF, and I said yep, here we are or something like that. Then he said “you know the 9ers were injured….” I then just looked at him for a moment, and then said “but not as injured as the Rams were.”

Then he looked back at me…..and…..crickets………it was freaking priceless. You had to be there. Haha…

I had a similar comment made to me, that our win was helped by the 49’ers being banged up.

:eyeroll:

This is why they are called the whiners. They bitch and complain about every fucking loss and always have some excuse as to why they lost. On the flip side they talk to most shit when they win yet haven't won a fucking thing in years. Fuck that team and their bitch made as fans.

For Rams fans isn’t “SF Fan Friend” verboten.

Dammit - I had to look up that word because I was mixing it up with verbatim.
Don't worry, I had to look it up too. AvengerRam is usually the person here that introduces me to new words.

Here is one for you, years ago my brother-in-law came over to my house wearing a 49er cap. Jerry Rice had recently been injured, when I asked him what he thought about Jerry Rice's injury his response was Jerry who. I ordered him to take that 9ers cap off and never wear any crap like that back in my house again; " This is Rams Country Boy"!

Yep. And excuses are like a** holes, everybody’s got one, and they all stink.

That reminds me of the late 80's and 90's I always asked every Whiner fan who was their Head Coach before Bill Walsh. Because I believed every SF fan started following the team after Walsh, who took over in 1979. I found in my research that only one person answered my question, however, he answered Ken Meyer who coached them in 1977 and was the Rams OC under Chuck Knox.

The correct answer was Pete McCulley, who lasted only 9 games that season and Fred O'Connor finished the year. But many never could and I just wanted to point out to them they were jumping on a band wagon. Back then I was snob when it came to football if you could not substantiate your fandom.

This checks out.
Most whiner fans I’ve met, don’t even know who plays on that team.

I honestly don’t have any friends that are whiners fans.
Plenty of Dallas fans, though.

Yup, 49er fans in this area are the classic definition of bandwagon fans. When they win you see cars driving around with 49er flags. People walking around with 49er jerseys and hats. They have a certain strut in their walk.

When the 49ers lose it all goes away. This town is supposed to be primarily 49er territory but you wouldn't know it when they lose. I'll give Raider fans credit. They can lose 14 games and their fans still fly the flags. Wear the jerseys and hats. I can't count how many Raider tattoos I see around town.

Back in the late 60's early 70's the Rams were playing the 49ers on TV. 2 of my friend's came over to watch and they were 49r fans. I lived in no cal at the time( I was a kid but I loved my rams. Anyway the refs were calling plays against the Rams that let's say we're questionable and it was causing us to lose, in my mind. They were rooting for the refs on every call and I had enough and kicked em out. Hate the 9ers

Somewhat different here as I know a handful of Niner fans and they are actually decent people and good friends. Two guys that bowl with my wife and I are avid 49er fans and after they lost in the NFC Championship game to the Eagles, I said to my wife, let's see if they are donning their colors next week. And low and behold, they did, jersey, hat the whole ensemble and I had to respect it. I did not like it, but respected it.

That is the problem right now, I know of about 10 49er fans and they are very nice people and that somewhat kills me, they realize I dislike their team and they understand it. In fact, my one friend and I were discussing how he (a 49er fan) rooted for the Rams to win against the Bengals because he wanted Aaron Donald & Matthew Stafford to win a Super Bowl. I complimented him and informed him that was very noble and then informed him I rooted my ass off for the Chiefs last year against his team.

Hmm, let’s look at who the Rams were missing:

Offense:
2 starting OL (Jackson and Avila)
3 of the top pass catchers from last season (Kupp, Nacua, and Higbee)
OL “sixth man” (Noteboom)

Defense:
Safety (JJ3) out
Starting CB from last season (Kendrick)
Starting CB for THIS season (DW)
All ILBs are healthy

So let’s make this simple:
Our QB/HC are better than yours.

And to be honest, I would like the two starters to be hurting a little bit where they can only be active for a few plays each game.
